Dream Weaver has been waiting a long time for someone to see the wonderful (yet quirky!) cat she has become.
She came into rescue in February 2025 as a semi-feral kitten. Since then, she has worked hard at learning that people can be trusted - and she has come a very long way. She may never be the kind of cat who demands cuddles, but she has a big personality and a heart that shows itself in her own special ways, such as finding a spot to sleep at the foot of the bed, where she is close, but not TOO close, to her people!
Dream Weaver is silky, beautiful, fiercely independent, and absolutely hilarious. She adores breakfast (she may actually answer better to “Breakfast Time!”), loves watching TV, and is an excellent hunter. If a fly dares to enter the house, Dream Weaver takes it personally. Finding it and completing the mission is non-negotiable! She is very vocal when waiting for her meals or when alerting her household to a fly in the house!
She gets along wonderfully with other cats and has completely accepted the resident dog, especially his bed, which she has officially claimed as her throne. Her favorite companion is a big, wise old black cat whom she follows around like his devoted little sidekick, rubbing up against him and wrapping her tail around him as they walk down the hall. She is not as affectionate towards some of the female cats in the home, and definitely has a preference for the 20 pound, one-eyed, senior male!
Dream Weaver needs someone who will love her for who she is and let trust happen on her timeline. She may not be a lap cat, but watching her blossom, play, choose to be near you, and slowly let her guard down is its own kind of reward.
After more than a year in rescue, Dream Weaver is still waiting for the person who will look past her boundaries and see the beautiful, quirky, deserving cat underneath.
