Story
Chucky, his twin brother Stitch, and their mama Miko were transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Texas. They were rescued from a neglect situation and yes, they are in fact actual Scottish Folds! Chucky is a charming fellow with very strong opinions about human interaction. He can be very friendly and affectionate, but he is easily overstimulated by petting and will definitely swat at you or attempt to bite you if you do not recognize and respect his cues that he is done with you and wants to move on. Which is hard for many people, because Chucky's folded ears and adorable round head make touching him irresistible. Due to his penchant for overstimulation, he is not a good match for children or for adults who want to be able to pet & touch their cat at any time without worrying about the cat getting mad at him. He is a great match for an experienced cat owner who understands cats who get overstimulated and can give Chucky the space he needs to feel comfortable. Chucky was raised with his mother & brother and he is very dominant over both of them. If you have other cats in the home, Chucky is going to want to be in charge of them and he frequently shows his dominance by pinning other cats down & mounting them. This behavior may improve now that Chucky is neutered, but it may be an ingrained, life-long behavior that many cats will not enjoy living with. Please take that into consideration as we want our special boy Chucky to have the most harmonious fur-ever home possible. It's super easy to get blinded by his good looks, so be sure to take a minute and consider Chucky's behaviors when thinking about adding him to your household. He is adorable and can be very sweet when he's in the mood, but he is most definitely a big purrsonality first & foremost! If you'd like to meet Chucky and all his friends at the New Hampshire SPCA, please visit our Adoption Center during our open hours: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every day except Wednesdays (closed). Plus, starting June 4, we'll be open until 7pm every Thursday! Have questions? Call (603) 772-2921 ext. 110 or email info@nhspca.org today. Primary Color: Red Shaded Weight: 3.28 Age: 1yrs 1mths 0wks

Story
Stitch, his brother Chucky, and their mama Miko were all transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Texas. Yes, he is a real Scottish Fold and yes, he is even handsomer in person! Stitch is initially shy, but when he is feeling comfortable he is an absolute doll who loves spending time with his people & getting attention. In fact when he really trusts you, Stitch will even roll around on his back and show off his belly in a bid to get your attention. Spoiler alert: this move ALWAYS works for him! Stitch is just over a year old and as such, he is quite playful. His favorite toys seem to be jingle balls, soft puff balls, and even crinkle balls. He is also a fan of the interactive Cat Dancer wire toy and will jump his little heart out trying to show off for you & catch it. Stitch thoroughly enjoys Churu snack treat tubes, and he prefers wet cat food to dry cat food if given the option. Stitch lived with his mother & brother in their previous home, but he most definitely does not want to continue living with his brother. Chucky is far too dominant for the passive Stitch, who never stands up for himself and never gets to do anything fun when Chucky is bossing him around. We think Stitch would be happy living with another non-dominant cat as he did enjoy hanging out with his feline mother Miko. Come meet this sweet little man today - Stitch is waiting for you & his wonderful new life!If you'd like to meet Stitch and all his friends at the New Hampshire SPCA, please visit our Adoption Center during our open hours: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every day except Wednesdays (closed). Story
Destiny is a loving feline who enjoys being rubbed and cuddled. She is well tempered and affectionate. We got her from the shelter a couple of months ago and she has been a joy to our family. However due to my work schedule I believe she would be better with a person or family that could give her more attention.

Meet Tara! This sweet girl came in with her sister Tabitha and would like to go home together. She has been known to be very shy around new people and has been shy while in shelter. We highly recommend a slow introduction to the home and future adopters knowledgeable of a cats body language, additionally allowing them to go at their pace while in their next furever home. If you think you`re the right match or would like to learn more about them, come on in today!
