Story
Angus is ready to fold himself into your family. Angus arrived with a clan of Scottish Fold cats who were surrendered when their owners found themselves overwhelmed when their intact male and female cats had two litters in a row. Unable to handle all the kittens, they reached out to EHS for help. Now in our care, we are focused on vetting these young’uns and ensuring they are adopted into loving homes. ABOUT ANGUS- In foster - Having trouble telling the Folds apart? Angus is the adorable buff male of the clan. - Angus loves pets, head bonks, and cuddles and will sit on our volunteers’ laps and purr away happily. His foster mom reports that he will even sleep quietly beside her. - This sweet lad has been described as “docile, affectionate and easy to handle” as well as “so chill.” - He is a playful boy who loves to play with wand toys and spring toys. Is he training for the Highland Games? - Angus has trouble grooming himself and will need an adopter who is committed to brushing him and giving him the occasional bath. The good news is that he enjoys being brushed and will even stretch out his limbs to ensure that our volunteers don’t miss any spots. Basically, he’s a loveable mess. - He can be chatty, often meowing while roaming around on his out time. If you listen closely, he might just tell you a wee tale. - Angus is showing early signs of mobility challenges. Potential adopters should be aware that the genetic mutation responsible for a Scottish Fold’s distinct ears also puts it at risk for joint and bone disease. Angus’s forever family will need to monitor his health, weight, and mobility, schedule regular veterinary check-ups, and prepare for future medical costs that will come over time. - Angus is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations. ANGUS’S IDEAL HOME- Angus must be the only cat in the home. - He hasn’t yet met any children, but due to his friendly nature he should do well with all ages. - Angus’s compatibility with dogs is unknown. - We are only considering applications with a vet reference in the applicant’s name. As the old Scottish proverb goes, “what is for ye, will not pass ye by!” If you’ve been searching for the perfect furry companion, meeting Angus might just be fate.
