Meet Hilo!! Hilo is a 1-year old neutered male. He is microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations. Hilo is currently in foster care as he was overwhelmed with shelter life. Once he settled into his foster home, he has opened up so much and is the biggest love bug! Hilo is highly food motivated and firmly believes that snacks are one of life’s greatest comforts — so a future home with plenty of tasty treats on hand is a must! When he’s not waiting for his next snack, Hilo enjoys lounging in cozy spots where he can relax and observe the world at his own pace. He does well with other cats and kittens and would absolutely love to have a feline friend in his forever home, though it’s not required. Because Hilo needs a bit of extra patience and understanding as he acclimates, he’s best suited for an experienced cat owner rather than a first-time adopter and any kids in his new home should be 13+ as he can be a little grumbly sometimes. While in his foster home, Hilo has been exposed to two puppies and tolerated that very well. He even likes to play a game of chase with them! New situations can be a bit overwhelming for him, so he’ll need a patient adopter who can start him off in a small, quiet space (like an office or bathroom) to help him feel safe and settled as he adjusts. Sir Gentlemeow is a 3 year old neutered male. He is current on his vaccinations and microchipped! Meet Sir Gentlemeow! Sir Gentlemeow is a handsome, shy, and gentle boy who initially come into the shelter as a very unsure guy. After giving him just a little bit of time to decompress, he has shown us what a truly sweet guy he can be. While he may need some time to adjust in a new home, the wait will be well worth it once he starts to show his truly sweet personality. He does allow slow pets from his favorite people and enjoys just simply hanging out near you. He is otherwise a very mellow and low-key guy who would be a happy with a comfy bed to cat nap in, a cozy spot next to a window, and a relaxing place up high such as a cat tree where he can take in everything going on around him. Since Sir Gentlemeow is a shy guy who does startle easily at times from fast movements and loud noises, he is looking for a calmer and quieter home. He would do best with a cat savvy family where any children should be at least 12 years of age or older. He may do ok with other respectful pets in the home given slow and proper introductions to one another.
