Meet Lacie! A 6-year-old German Shepherd/Chow mix with a heart full of love. She’s incredibly sweet with people (especially kids), house-trained, well-behaved, and loves belly rubs and yard zoomies. Lacie should be the only pet as she does not get along with other dogs, though we do not know about cats. She would thrive in a home with a yard and older kids to keep her company. She has crate anxiety and gets carsick, so travel isn’t ideal for her. Due to an upcoming winter move to Alaska, her family is heartbroken to rehome her and hopes to find a loving home where she can be your loyal companion. She is a smart dog and very low-maintenance--she would just love someone to burn her playful energy more often. While she likes bouncing, she will stop and melt when she's being petted. This sweet doggy is so ready for her forever person! She's all set to go. She seems to be 'saying' she's ready to give it a try.💝--She is a very sweet dog, and although she is painfully shy, she shows that she wants to trust people, play, and have fun. It's just as if she has to break down her barrier to let it happen. It is hard for her to relax with the shelter energy around her. In spite of her anxiety, she has never shown any aggression. She is agreeable to go for walks, and does great on them. She is somewhat more at ease in the Home Room/office. She will require love and patience. While there are no guarantees-only hope, we have seen remarkable turn-a-rounds with similar pets when they find their families... -Please PHONE or COME BY the shelter if you would like more information on Cachet.
