Story
Scoop and his friend Snickers are the most unusual dogs we have ever had here. In fact we have never even heard of their breed til we were given the opportunity to bring them to Montana by a rescue group in Abilene TX. Scoop is a Sharpei, but is unusual in that he is called a Bear Coated Sharpei. They are incredibly rare and if you google them you will see that there are very few in existence. They are long haired versions of the wrinkly skinned Sharpeis that are also quite rare here. We believe he came from a breeder in TX who was making big money on them. But they also come with an easily fixable problem. He had a condition called Entropian eyes. Their eyelids turn in (due to all the wrinkles) and the eyelashes cause the eyeball to be uncomfortable. So Scoop had his eye surgery on his right eye 2 weeks ago and on his left eye on the 15th of November. He will be adoptable now with little expense in the future. Scoop is neutered, will come with a micro-chip and is fully vaccinated and ready for a new home. We think he is around 3-4 years old and about 48 pounds. He is dog friendly and kid friendly too. Their adoption fee is $250 and If you would like to adopt one of these rare guys, please fill out an application on our website at pet-tracs.com.
