Story
All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step. Hi everyone! I’m that dog — you know, the one who makes everyone stop and ask, “Wait… what breed is he?!” Honestly? Your guess is as good as mine. I’m a one-of-a-kind mystery mix! I’ve got little low-rider legs like a Basset Hound, and a wrinkly, squishy face with tiny ears kind of like a Shar-Pei. Basically, I look like someone ordered a dog on “shuffle mode.” But hey — that just makes me extra special! I’m about 1 year old, full of goofy puppy energy, and the biggest sweetheart you’ll ever meet. I was found in a park with three other dogs who looked just like me. They all got adopted… and somehow my unique look kept me waiting. But don’t worry — I know the right family will see my charm and fall in love. I’m SUPER playful — like, zoomies-for-days playful. I love toys, I love people, I love dogs, I love anything that looks fun. I even go to doggie daycare, and let me tell you… I thrive. I may be a low rider, but oh boy, can I jump! (It surprises everyone. Including me sometimes.) I’m also very smart — just hand me a treat and I’ll show you how I can sit like a pro. Treats are basically my love language. My housebreaking is coming along nicely, and I’m a total social butterfly with people. Kids? Bring them on! I’d love a family with kiddos to run around and play with. The more chaos and giggles, the better. I watched all my littermates get adopted, and now it’s finally my turn. I may be quirky-looking, but I promise I’m pure joy in a low-rider package. If you’re looking for a playful, lovable, snuggly, treat-motivated little dude with a big heart and short legs… that’s me, Ralphy!   All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped. The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only. December 5, 2025, 9:57 am
