Meet Muppet! This handsome 4-year-old boy is ready to steal hearts and find his true forever home! Muppet originally came to us as a stray in 2023 and, through no fault of his own, has found his way back into our care. Now, he’s on the lookout for the perfect family to love him forever. Muppet is a playful guy who lives for a good game of tug-of-war! By day two in foster care, he had already convinced his foster brother to join in on the fun (they’re still trying to decide who the champion really is ). He would be happiest in a home with another playful dog buddy, though he’d do well as a solo pup too if he gets plenty of playtime and love. When he’s not busy showing off his tug-of-war skills, Muppet enjoys leisurely walks, but his true happy place? A backyard where he can run, stretch out, and soak up the sunshine&#226&#152&#128&#239&#184&#143—so we’re making a fenced yard a must-have for this sweet guy.    Muppet is up to date on vaccines, has had recent bloodwork which the vet was very happy with, and is all set to start his new chapter. Like many Shar Pei, he does have some allergies, so he’ll need routine skin and ear care—but he’s a champ about it. He’s proven to be trustworthy in the house (not a fan of the kennel, but who can blame him?). While he hasn’t been around much kids in foster care, we don’t see any concerning behavior and believe he’d do just fine with dog-savvy children. He did meet a few kiddos on Halloween and loved them! &#226&#156&#168 Muppet has so much love to give and is ready to bring joy, laughter, and sunshine to his forever family. 🐾 Meet Miklo — Your Peanut-Butter-Lovin’ Adventure Buddy! 🐾 Hi, friends! My name is Miklo, and I’m a 2-year-old Bulldog mix on a mission to find my forever family here at Heartland. I’m a happy, friendly guy with a wiggly smile, though I might be a little shy when meeting new people. Don’t worry — once I know you’re a friend, my true goofy, affectionate self comes right out! No one’s quite sure yet how I feel about other dogs, cats, or kiddos, but I’m definitely sure about one thing: I love adventures. Walks? Yes. Hikes? Absolutely. Exploring the world with my favorite human? Sign me up! I’ve got plenty of energy and would make an awesome sidekick for anyone who enjoys being out and about. Bonus perk: I’m house trained! No surprise messes, I promise. Bonus-bonus perk: Peanut butter is my weakness. I will happily demonstrate my best “good boy” face for a tasty spoonful.
