This sweet girl has had a rough start in life and is now seeking a calm and loving environment where she can learn to trust and thrive.Twinkie would thrive in a calm, quiet home with owners who have experience with under socialized dogs, and are familiar with dog behavior. Someone who is willing to give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable and confident is a must, as she is fearful, anxious and skittish, likely due to under socialization, and limited positive human interaction in the past. She is currently on medication to help manage her anxiety, and her new family may need to continue this treatment under the guidance of their Veterinarian. A home without other pets would be best, at least initially, to allow her to adjust at her own pace. A home with a secure, fenced yard where she can safely explore and play would be very beneficial for her special needs.Despite her challenges, Twinkie has shown incredible resilience and a desire to connect with people.
