Meet Clyde! Clyde came to AFRP from Bradshaw Animal Shelter after being brought in as a severely underweight stray alongside his sister, Bonnie. Both pups had been through a heartbreaking ordeal and arrived at the shelter covered in hundreds of dead ticks and fleas. They were severely underweight and desperately needed some TLC, good food, medical care, and a safe place to decompress. Thankfully, Clyde has made an amazing transformation! With plenty of love and care from his foster family, this once-neglected pup has blossomed into a happy, affectionate, and playful young dog who is ready to start the next chapter of his life. Clyde is a high-energy boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He loves to explore his surroundings, investigate anything interesting, and meet new people. He's naturally curious and social, and once he gets comfortable, he can be an incredibly sweet and cuddly companion. It's hard to believe this affectionate boy has experienced such a difficult start to life! Clyde is looking for an active home that can keep up with his energy and continue helping him build his confidence and good manners. A securely fenced yard is a must, and he will need another playful, canine companion in the home who can keep up with his enthusiasm for playtime. Having a doggy friend will also give Clyde an outlet for his energy and help him continue developing his social skills. Like any young dog, Clyde is still working on his manners and will need continued positive reinforcement training, particularly with basic obedience and leash walking. He's eager to learn and would thrive with adopters who are ready to make training part of their daily routine. He would do well with adult adopters or a family with dog-savvy children over the age of six who can appreciate his playful nature and help him continue becoming the best version of himself. Clyde has also successfully coexisted with feline friends in a home, so he may be able to share his future home with a cat. Interested in adopting Clyde?
