Story
Cooper-Sheepadoodle-Male puppy, ~ 3 mo. (Dec. 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application Cooper came to rescue when his prior owner fell on hard times and could not take care of him. He's a super sweet, loving puppy who is a friend to all and happy to climb on your lap for a snuggle. He is used to living with other dogs and is working on house and crate training. Here is what people are saying about this hybred dog: Sheepadoodles are bred to bring the best traits out of both breeds by selecting dams (mamas) and sires (daddies) with the best qualities from each breed. They inherit intelligence and easy trainability from both sides. They are often graced to inherit the kindness and mellow temperament from the OES. They also are bred to carry the minimal shedding and low allergy-triggering coat from the Poodle. Sheepadoodles are friendly, loving, kind, and love to play. Cooper's adoption fee is $600 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Pleases include your location and a phone number.

Story
*Woof* Meet me at 71 Oglethorpe St NW between 12pm-7pm daily!Trooper is on a mission to have FUN! He is a bouncy, silly, goofy Poodle with a bubbly personality. He is such a great dog. He has oodles of frisky energy, and he is so sweet and happy. Trooper really enjoys his walks and would love to go on several a day. He has the type of hair that keeps growing so he needs to see the doggie groomer every few months to keep his hair free from painful matting`s. He’s a high maintenance pooch but he is worth it! So, if you like dogs that are will keep you entertained and busy, then Trooper is the dog for you!

Please contact Paul Slebzak (pauls@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.is sweet puppers! not famous deceased artist! DAVINCI NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  DaVinci      Best Guess for Breed:  Poodle mx   Best Guess for Age:   5 years as of October 2025     SEX:    Male   Approximate Weight:   45 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   DC area foster home   Special adoption considerations: DaVinci is a truly Lucky Dog. He tested positive for heartworms, but landed in a place where heartworm treatment is provided! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. We are happy to discuss where in the treatment process this Lucky Dog is in right now! Just email the adoption coordinator - the address is at lower left!   DaVinci is Looking For:  His forever home! He landed in the shelter through no fault of his own and is eager to once again have his own humans. Sniffy walks, all the adventures his family can dream up, and cuddles at the end of fun days together - yes, please! At about five years of age, he's in his prime as an adult dog - well out of the puppy yips, but has all that awesome energy for world exploration. And - that coat. It's high maintenance. He wants daily brushing and regular professional grooming, please. Mats hurt! In exchange, he promises love and loyalty for all his days. What do you say? Is he the one you see by your side? What My Foster Says About Me:   I’m really happy to have him with us, he is such a sweet boy, very affectionate, and obedient. Loves to be pet and cuddled. We love having him around. He is and absolute delight at home.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:    The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.  If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption.
