If you would like to meet him, please start by visiting www.sccrescue.org and completing an application.Meet Crème Brûlée—“Crème” to his inner circle—a perfectly caramelized gentleman with a velvety cream coat and a personality just as rich. Like his namesake dessert, he’s equal parts refined and indulgent: soft, sweet, and guaranteed to melt your heart with one look. Thought to be around 5 years old, Crème is fully house trained and settles into his crate like a well-set custard—sometimes needing a few minutes to stop his gentle “complaints” when you leave but sleeping through the night as quietly as a sugar crust waiting to be tapped. He’s incredibly smart, eager to please, and already knows commands like sit, up, and yes/no, with “wait” and “off” currently baking to perfection.This dashing dessert boy thrives on affection and will happily soak up pets like a sponge cake with syrup. He’s polite with his voice—only chiming in when it matters, like alerting you to a visitor or a knock at the door. While he’s currently a bit sensitive about his ears as he heals, he otherwise handles grooming like a pro. Crème enjoys his meals with a little extra flair—preferring canned food mixed into his kibble—and dines twice daily, usually in his crate. He’s still learning that not every treat buffet is his to sample (he *will* try to sneak a bite if given the chance), but he’s making progress with guidance and consistency.Socially, Crème is a thoughtful mingler. He does best with slow introductions, especially with dogs his size or larger, but once he’s comfortable, he blends beautifully into the pack. He’s already proven to be a lovely companion to smaller female dogs and enjoys romping outside, often joining in games of keep-away—even if toys themselves aren’t quite his thing yet. On leash, he’s a dream, walking calmly on a harness without reacting to distractions. At home, he rotates between cozy dog beds, the couch, and the floor, soaking in comfort wherever it’s served.
