Story
I'm Sunny, a female 4-year-old Shetland Sheepdog mix. My journey has been a bit tough, having once been neglected while tied up tightly, playing the role of a guardian at a factory. I absolutely adore people and have a friendly, affectionate nature. Even with strangers, I'll nuzzle up, asking for some gentle pets. I'm great with kids, too! However, I must admit, I get a tad jealous around other dogs, and I might be growl to them during mealtime. That's why I think a home where I can be the only furry friend would be best. With a high energy level, I thrive on outdoor activities. A good run around the yard will keep me calm and content. I do pull on the leash during walks, but with some patient guidance, I'm sure I can learn to be a well-behaved walker. Rescued from a challenging past, I'm now seeking a family who can provide the love and attention I deserve. If you're ready for a loyal companion who will brighten your days, look no further. Sometimes we get a call to help an awesome dog who has a medical condition and we are so pleased to be able to say yes because that means you get the opportunity to meet, and possibly adopt, the perfect dog! And that is Leela, just about the perfect dog who happens to have (the very manageable) Addison's disease.
