Copper is a 1-year-old, 50-pound AKC registered Standard Poodle who truly checks all the boxes. He’s smart, social, and eager to please, making him an absolute joy to have around. Whether you’re out for a walk or relaxing at home, Copper is happiest right by your side. This well-mannered boy is already house trained, knows how to use the dog door, and is crate trained. He walks beautifully on a leash, making outings easy and enjoyable. Copper loves other dogs and gets along wonderfully with people of all sizes — he’s the kind of dog who fits right into just about any loving home. Like many young, happy pups, Copper does have one area he’s still working on — he can get a little too excited when greeting people and may jump up to say hello. He has already started working on this, but he will benefit from continued training, and likely some professional guidance, to help him master polite greetings. Copper is neutered, current on all vaccinations, and heartworm negative — all ready for his next chapter. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and well-rounded companion with just a little room for polishing, Copper might be your perfect match! Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for his entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. His adoption fee is $400. This includes his neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Our adoption events are held every other Saturday at Petco located in the Northwoods Shopping Center at 18138 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio TX 78232. Our group focuses on assisting open admission shelters in South Texas where over 32,000 dogs and cats are euthanized each year. Our puppies and dogs are completely vetted and live in foster homes. They are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and tested for heartworm disease. All adoptions include one month of flea and heartworm preventative and a leash and collar.
