Story
This adorable guy is called Petie and he is a senior Shetland Sheep mix boy that lost his beloved mom of 8 years just recently.  She passed away suddenly.  Peetie had been a part of the Critter Cavalry Rescue about 8 years ago and we took him back in to keep him safe.  We updated all his vetting and did a much needed dental and bloodwork too!  This happy boy is always smiling and always wants to play.  He acts like a 4-5 year old dog instead of 10 years.   He is not going anywhere for a long time we can tell you that. He is great with other dogs, cats and all people he meets. F fenced yard would be fantastic or a dog park.  Petie is crate trained and loves to vocalize when he knows that people are nearby or even dogs.  All you have to do is say…HUSH PETIE…and he hushes.  We think that an apartment is NOT the right place for this small 20 pound boy.  He is solid as a rock and his gorgeous red and blackish fur is just stunning.  He would adore you to brush him and give him some TLC every few days.  He sleeps in the bed with his foster mom and he greets new foster dogs with enthusiasm and excitement.  If you are looking for a medium energy boy that also knows how to cuddle and snuggle, then Petie is the one for you!  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 5, 2024, 3:15 pm

Story
And so…here is one of the special ones that are rare to find in rescue world.  A purebred 4 year old  27 pound, Sheltie named Jango.  This boy was turned in by his family because they just “didn’t have the time to spend with him anymore”.   The phrase we dread to hear and cannot argue with.  When someone doesn’t care about their dog or cat or even significant other?  They just don’t try to work things out nor try to spend the time.  This boy is so very handsome and the nicest dog.  He lived with children, is good with other dogs and we are going to cat test him soon.  He is so confused being at the shelter and we are taking him out and straight to the vet for all the vetting which includes a neuter.  He is housebroken,  easy going but does need to exercise his body and mind.  He is not looking to be just a couch potato, but a vibrant dog that is curious to explore, to go for walks and to learn.  If you are interested, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 5, 2024, 3:15 pm

Story
This is Bodhi, a beautiful 50lb Sheltie collie/shepherd mix that I adopted from Bideawee adoption center. He is around 1 year old and an incredible dog but unfortunately due to a change in my work and school schedule I am no longer able to give him the full attention and love he deserves. Bodhi is full of playful energy, loves everyone he meets, including small children, and is very trainable. He is an extremely loyal dog and he’ll be your best friend after just a couple minutes of fetch or playing together with his toys. Ideally, I would prefer him to be in a home with another dog (or multiple) as I think that would be best for him given his love for other dogs and his desire to play. I can provide all of his belongings to make the transition as easy as possible including leash, harness, toys, food, food bowls, bed, poop bags, etc. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me directly at (516)-508-6251
