Story
This adorable guy is called Petie and he is a senior Shetland Sheep mix boy that lost his beloved mom of 8 years just recently.  She passed away suddenly.  Peetie had been a part of the Critter Cavalry Rescue about 8 years ago and we took him back in to keep him safe.  We updated all his vetting and did a much needed dental and bloodwork too!  This happy boy is always smiling and always wants to play.  He acts like a 4-5 year old dog instead of 10 years.   He is not going anywhere for a long time we can tell you that. He is great with other dogs, cats and all people he meets. F fenced yard would be fantastic or a dog park.  Petie is crate trained and loves to vocalize when he knows that people are nearby or even dogs.  All you have to do is say…HUSH PETIE…and he hushes.  We think that an apartment is NOT the right place for this small 20 pound boy.  He is solid as a rock and his gorgeous red and blackish fur is just stunning.  He would adore you to brush him and give him some TLC every few days.  He sleeps in the bed with his foster mom and he greets new foster dogs with enthusiasm and excitement.  If you are looking for a medium energy boy that also knows how to cuddle and snuggle, then Petie is the one for you!  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 5, 2024, 3:15 pm

Story
And so…here is one of the special ones that are rare to find in rescue world.  A purebred 4 year old  27 pound, Sheltie named Jango.  This boy was turned in by his family because they just “didn’t have the time to spend with him anymore”.   The phrase we dread to hear and cannot argue with.  When someone doesn’t care about their dog or cat or even significant other?  They just don’t try to work things out nor try to spend the time.  This boy is so very handsome and the nicest dog.  He lived with children, is good with other dogs and we are going to cat test him soon.  He is so confused being at the shelter and we are taking him out and straight to the vet for all the vetting which includes a neuter.  He is housebroken,  easy going but does need to exercise his body and mind.  He is not looking to be just a couch potato, but a vibrant dog that is curious to explore, to go for walks and to learn.  If you are interested, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 5, 2024, 3:15 pm

UPDATE:  ISAAC has had the surgery to remove his cherry eye and all is well.  There is no medicine or daily care that he will need.  This is Isaac a 2 year old, 15 pounder who was very shy at first but warmed up quickly to the other dogs and his new surroundings. He is house and crate trained, my 2nd rescue for 2024 and he is extremely close to his buddy BUZBY. He follows BUZBY around like a shadow. They have a great time running zoomies in the backyard and playing chase. They do know there is a difference between inside and outdoor play. ISAAC is quiet and gives soft kisses. He is not bothered by the other foster dogs in the home but his buddy is BUZBY and he loves him. We think he is a Pomeranian/Corgi mix, he white coat is very soft and smooth and he does not mind you giving him head rubs. ISAAC has a cherry eye but is scheduled to have it removed this week before adoption. If you are interested in adopting Isaac, please submit an application on the website below' www.roxysk9rescue.org   ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. We are expecting calm and clear skies, perfect for those action packed adventures, a long smooth runway for our takeoffs going for leisurely strolls and hiking trails and no turbulence is foreseen for the near further, so buckle your seatbelts, folks, we're in for a pawsome ride!! I'm around 2 years old and just a big ole mush, loving my people of all sizes. I'm all for going on daily adventures, anything from leisurely strolls to action packed adventures. I enjoy it ALL! And you'll get to enjoy cuddle time with ME when we're done for the day! Ooh Ooh, how fabulous is that?!!! I come in at somewhere around 60lbs of loveableness, 60lbs of snuggles, 60lbs of turn you to a pile of goo when I give you my puppy dog eyes, 60lbs of kisses and tail wags. Now tell me that's not just the best size ever!!! I do great with most other pups I've met but haven't been cat tested yet. I am also house trained. Good with kids, dogs and housetrained... that's a pretty great bonus for my new family. I'd love to be your 'Pilot' for any and all our adventures, making sure we arrive safely at our destinations. A great 'Pilot' is only as good as his 'co-pilot', so maybe we can fly high... together!!!
