Story
Ember is a very sweet, loyal, calm girl. She loves children and adores her family. She is super smart, very polite to us, listens pretty well, and has a calm, quiet personality. She's usually up for whatever - walks, belly-rubs, playing, or napping, etc. She doesn't want to be cooped up in the house all day, though, and really enjoys our large yard. She gets along well with our other, very-active dog. All that being said - she is scared of most adults who don't live with her. We got her from a shelter when she was 1 yr old. She’ll bark at non-family-adults, sometimes growl and sometimes nip at their heels to get them to leave (like a herding/guardian dog). We love her, and think she’d be happiest with a family on a large property where you have few visitors, or where you can always make sure she's safe in a kennel or on leash before people visit. She might enjoy a job on a homestead, or living with a person who can devote lots of time help her overcome her stranger-danger.
