Story
Hello folks: My name is Luca and I am a 6-year-old, male labradoodle. I am cream colored and weigh about 80 lbs and am now in the market for my forever home and hoomans.
I have been described by the folks here at Golden Paws as a goofy boy with a big personality. That is really true. I’m very energetic and very happy. Life has given me a few bumps and scratches, but nothing that won’t buff right out. I know some basic commands, like how to sit and stay, and I am really, really smart. With a little time and patience, you can teach me all kinds of new tricks and commands.
I love children, dogs, and other animals. Isn’t that usually the way with a big, goofy guy like me? Because of the type of coat I have, I will need some grooming, but I’m really good at that. Very patient. Also I do well on a leash and would love to take long walks with you.
For those of you who are not familiar with my breed of dog, Labradoodles were developed in the late 1980s in Australia. The original idea was to have a smart, trainable guide dog for those who needed them. It also turned out that we are fantastic dogs for families as well. We’re a combination of a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle, with the size of the poodle determining if we’re larger or smaller. Most of the people who would know describe us as being bright, playful, affectionate and friendly. Just what you need, right?
