Meet Bruiser - heavyweight champion of snuggles. Bruiser is a purebred, handsome, quiet, funny, lovable dog whose need for rehoming is due to the death of his human family. He came from a loving home & is with a committed foster. House, leash, & crate trained. Great manners on leash & in car. He's clever & motivated by food & toys so learning lots of obedience with training. He has demonstrated he can continue to grow with consistency & attention.He has plenty of verve, but settles easily and loves cuddling up on the couch. He would love a home with cozy companionship & a yard to sit outside & quietly observe or sunbathe. He has no experience living with children but has enjoyed meeting them. Not tolerant of cats at all. He prefers life as an only dog. He is a strong chewer who needs durable toys & appropriate treats, but has never shown destructive behavior towards any household items. She is crate trained, great loose-leash walking & is learning commands & routines quickly & enthusiastically in foster care. She is food motivated & whip smart. She has demonstrated that with consistent routine & attention, she has potential to become an exceptionally skilled & obedient companion. She loves training, responds well to structure, reward & movement. Loves people, though no prior exposure to children. She needs to be adopted as an only pet in order to thrive. She'd love following your lead & spending tons of time snuggling. She doesn't need to be entertained constantly, but she loves to be nearby you. Her personality shines in a calm environment. Story
Tessa Fae was the angel we never knew we needed. She is an 7yo red nose Pit/Vizla that I rescued when she was 6 months old. She was so skinny and skittish, she wouldn’t stop shaking. I took her in, took her to the vet, and thankfully she was healthy. Over the years I’ve socialized her with all kinds of animals and lived with cats for many years.Tessa never meets a stranger. She truly loves everyone- from men, women, and kids. She will wait patiently for affection, does not jump or invade others spaces. She is very polite and will sit in front of you or on your feet when she wants lovings. Tessa is not a vocal dog, so she can get overwhelmed and avoidant by very loud dogs. She plays mostly with younger dogs since they seem to match her playful energy, but has played really well with older, laid back dogs. The ideal lifestyle and person for Tessa would be someone who loves Pitties, and sees her as a member of the family. Someone who is active and present in her life, and loves to play
