Story
Rocco is our first Shelter to Scholar pup - training sponsored by The Better Companion. Speak with staff to learn more!Rocco is a sensitive, loving boy who just wants to be close to his people. Once he warms up to you, he’s incredibly affectionate, snuggly, and happiest curled up by your side, especially at bedtime!Rocco can be a little unsure when meeting new people, so he’ll need slow introductions and a patient home that understands he just needs time to feel safe. In the shelter, he’s shown how wonderful he is — looking to people for comfort and quickly forming strong bonds. He’s done well with other dogs when introduced properly but would do best in a home without cats or small animals, as his prey drive takes over when they run from him. Rocco appears to be potty trained and has been well-behaved in the shelter, though his previous family mentioned he could be a bit destructive when left alone. Crate training helped him feel secure and keep him safe while his people are away! Rocco is a loyal, tender-hearted companion who’s ready to find a home that will give him the love, structure, and comfort he deserves

Story
Hooch is a gentle, quiet boy with the sweetest little happy trots that are guaranteed to steal your heart! He may be calm by nature, but he’s always trying to convince his sister, Grace, to play.Hooch is potty trained, crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and knows his cues — “sit,” “treat,” and “wait.” He loves attention and affection, though he prefers to enjoy his meals without interruptions (who can blame him?!).He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he warms up, his loving personality shines through. He is quick to open up!In his previous home, Hooch did wonderfully with other dogs, children, and even cats — he’s a well-rounded companion who just wants to feel safe and loved again. Introductions should still be taken slowly and we can always provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed!Hooch came to the shelter with his sister, Grace, and their kitty friend, Bella, after their family developed severe allergies. Now, this sweet boy is ready for a fresh start and a forever home to call his own.

Story
Grace is a sweet, quiet girl who absolutely melts for gentle words and soft praise. She’s the kind of pup who wins you over with her calm presence and loving eyes. While she enjoys spending time with her brother Hooch, she’s not afraid to let him know when playtime is over — a true lady who knows her boundaries!Grace is potty trained, crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and knows “sit,” “treat,” and “wait.” She loves affection but prefers not to be bothered while eating (we respect that!). She can be shy when meeting new people, but with patience and kindness, she opens up into the softest, most gentle companion. In her previous home, Grace did wonderfully with other dogs, children, and even cats. Introductions should be taken slowly. We can always provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting. Please keep in mind that Grace is looking for a more calm home. Sadly, her family had to surrender her, Hooch, and their kitty friend Bella when one of their owners developed severe allergies. Now, Grace is hoping for a new start — one filled with love, cozy spots to nap, and people who will see just how special she is.
