Story
Gale is a very sweet, kind-hearted boy with a gentle soul and a wonderful go with the flow personality. We’ve truly loved getting to know him during his time at the shelter. Gale came to us as a stray, so much of his past is unknown, but what we do know is that he’s been a delight. He’s friendly with other dogs and mostly prefers to mind his own business, politely keeping to himself. We do encourage a dog meet-and-greet prior to adoption to help ensure a smooth introduction to any potential canine friends. With a medium energy level, Gale enjoys exploring the outdoors and going for nice walks — though his feet can get cold quickly! He’s happy to play with a stuffie or work on enrichment toys, but he’s just as content spending quality time with his people. Gale has excellent manners and walks beautifully on leash. He appears to be potty trained and already knows several cues including sit, down, shake, and wait. Based on his calm behavior in his kennel, we suspect he may also be crate trained. Please keep in mind that he will need time to adapt to his new home! Gale’s attentive nature and gentle heart make him the kind of loyal companion everyone dreams of. We absolutely adore him and know that once you meet Gale, you will too.

Story
True to her name, Baby is a total cuddle bug who loves being right in the middle of whatever you’re doing. She adores affection, praise, and being pampered, and she’s happiest when she’s spending time with her people. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who wants to be your shadow, Baby is your girl. Baby is both potty trained and crate trained. While she may cry a little when left alone, she has not been destructive, and having plenty of toys and enrichment helps her stay content. She walks nicely on a leash and is quite the smart cookie, knowing cues such as “sit,” “down,” “treat,” “come,” “leave it,” and “okay.” This sweet girl definitely has a princess personality and prefers to be the center of your world. Baby has had positive interactions with other dogs; however, her previous owner noted that she may not always get along with female dogs, as she can have a more dominant side. She should also not be placed in a home with small animals, including cats, as she has a strong chase instinct. All introductions should be done slowly and thoughtfully to ensure the best possible outcome! Baby is incredibly loving and has proven to be a devoted companion. After experiencing multiple transitions and finding herself in the shelter, she will need a little time and patience to adjust to her new home. With understanding and love, Baby is sure to blossom into a wonderful, loyal family member.

Story
Pete is a friendly, affectionate boy with a classic wiggle-butt greeting and a heart full of love. A true cuddler at his core, Pete prefers spending most of his time indoors soaking up comfort and companionship, but is just as playful! He’s fully potty trained and will politely let you know when he needs to go outside by waiting at the door and giving a little whine. Pete is crate trained and can be left home alone for 8–12 hours. He may be a bit vocal when left by himself, but overall he’s a well-mannered and trustworthy companion. One of Pete’s favorite things? Bath time and car rides — he’s always happy to tag along for an adventure or a spa day! This smart boy knows an impressive list of cues, including “sit,” “down,” “off,” “come,” “leave it,” “wait,” “touch,” “bed,” “inside,” and “outside.” When he’s not showing off his skills, Pete enjoys being an affectionate couch potato who loves playing with balls, ropes, and durable chew toys. Pete does have some noise sensitivities and can become fearful during loud sounds like fireworks or gunshots, so a gentle and understanding home would be ideal. While it’s unknown how he does with unfamiliar dogs, Pete has been great with new people and children and previously lived peacefully with his cat siblings! Pete has had a friendly demeanor towards other dogs and could do well with a canine friend. We could always provide a dog meet and greet if needed! When meeting someone new, Pete may get a little vocal at first — until he gets that first pet, then he’s all smiles and wiggles! Pete is a loving, loyal companion who would thrive in a home ready to give him comfort, patience, and plenty of affection.
