Story
Jeffrey is the definition of a gentle soul. This sweet boy may be a little timid when meeting new people or exploring new places, but beneath that cautious first impression is a heart that just wants to be loved. Based on a few old scars and his softly watchful nature, we suspect life hasn’t always been easy for him — but he remains hopeful, kind, and so ready for a fresh start. Jeffrey came to us as a stray, so much of his story is a mystery. What we do know? He keeps his space nice and tidy and appears to be potty trained. He walks beautifully on leash and already knows “sit” and “lay down.” Truly the goodest boy. With other dogs, Jeffrey tends to keep a respectful distance but shows friendly interest. He may do well with a calm, like-minded companion who matches his polite personality. We’re always happy to accommodate a dog meet-and-greet to ensure the perfect fit! Jeffrey has a low-to-medium energy level and finds joy in life’s simple pleasures — peaceful walks, cozy beds, and gentle snuggles. He bonds deeply with his people and will be an incredibly loyal companion to the lucky family who gives him the patience and love he deserves.

Story
Eros is a true sweetheart with a gentle, shy soul. He may need a little time to warm up to new people, but once he does, all he wants is love, hugs, and a safe place to call home. Slow and steady is the way to this good boy’s heart! Eros originally came to us as a stray, so much of his past is a mystery. He was briefly adopted but returned after a couple of days, and we want to be very clear that Eros will need patience and time to adjust in his new home. With understanding and consistency, we know he has the potential to blossom into a deeply loyal and loving companion. In the shelter, Eros has been friendly toward other dogs. He tends to keep to himself but always perks up when he sees his canine friends nearby. He has done wonderfully with handling, enjoys attention, and has even been a champ during bath time! Potty training may still be a work in progress—shelter life can make it hard to tell—but with routine and gentle reminders, we’re confident he’ll catch on quickly. Eros would benefit from crate training, both to help prevent accidents and to give him a cozy, secure space of his very own while his people are away. Eros has a mellow energy level and enjoys relaxed walks and enrichment activities like stuffed Kongs. As he becomes more comfortable and confident, we expect his personality to continue to shine brighter every day. Eros is such a good boy, and he deserves a home willing to give him the time, patience, and love he needs to truly thrive!

Story
Nick is in a foster home! Yay! Please call the shelter to meet Nick so we can coordinate with his foster family (:Nick is an uber-cute guy with a heart of gold and the sweetest personality. When he first arrived at the shelter, he was understandably fearful and cautious, but with patience, consistency, and lots of love, his true personality has truly blossomed. Today, Nick adores extra attention and has built wonderful trust with shelter staff. While he may still be a little shy when first meeting new people, his growing confidence shines— and we expect him to continue thriving in a home environment. Nick has a medium energy level and strikes a lovely balance between playtime and cuddle time. He lives for snuggles and all the scratches he can get, but he also has a BIG love for toys. Watching him discover toys for the first time was incredibly heartwarming. He especially enjoys carrying stuffies around and playing a gentle game of keep-away. This good boy has nice manners and appears to have some basic training under his belt. He walks well on a leash, is likely potty trained, and knows the cues “sit” and “shake.” If he jumps up and is asked to get down, he’s happy to listen. Nick prefers being with his people and can feel a little sad in his kennel at times, so continued crate training may help him feel more secure and confident when resting on his own. Nick has become anxious in the shelter and it is resulting in irritation towards some other dogs. Barky or rambunctious dogs are making him anxious! Though previously he had an easy-going demeanor when around the other dogs, we still want to ensure we set Nick up for success! We encourage a dog meet and greet prior to adopting to ensure Nick will enjoy having your current dog as a friend. Since Nick came to us as a stray, we don’t know if he has lived with children or other animals, but with proper introductions, patience, and stability, we anticipate he would do well! Nick is truly such a good boy and is ready for a fresh start with a loving family of his own.
