Story
Looking to add some love to your home?! Look no further, because Jenga the pitty is absolutely bursting at the seams with it. This darling girl is a 4 year old Pit Bull Terrier mix, who was found as a stray. We don't know about her past, but we've learned a few things about her in the time she has been with us. She can be a little nervous at first, but her love for people always wins her over. Jenga gets really, really, really excited about seeing people she loves, so she might try to climb you like a tree! She loves a good walk, and knows how to be polite on leash. Jenga is clearly a Pitty mix of some kind, but we can't be sure without a DNA test. She has a very muscular build and would need a physically capable person to handle her when she gets excited. She has lots of energy to burn and would need a consistently active daily routine to help her feel calm and content. Given enough stimulation, Jenga is able to settle into her own space and enjoy some downtime.Jenga has not shown any major behavioural or medical issues that we have seen. This little lady needs some support to work on jumping up on people, but for the most part she just needs a lot of love, a lot of consistency, and then even MORE love!Jenga would love a home with a guardian who is available to dedicate plenty of time and attention to her every single day. There are many unknowns when it comes to Jenga and her preferences in a home, but there is no doubt she seeks a peaceful space with people ready to commit to loving her for life. Story
Meet Yahtzee, a six‑year‑old pitbull with a heart as solid as his chew toys. Found as a stray, his past is a bit of a mystery, but he's ready to roll the dice on a new beginning. Yahtzee is an affectionate, confident, people‑oriented dog who lights up for companionship. He's smart, eager to connect, and happiest when he's included in the daily rhythm of life. Yahtzee loves his toys... a lot! So he would be best suited to an adopter who enjoys providing structure, sturdy activities, and interactive play that will help him channel his energy into all the right moves. He would do best in a home that understands the value of routine, enrichment, and meaningful activity.Since Yahtzee was found as a stray, we are unsure as to how he would do with another canine companion or a feline friend, so adopters would have to be prepared for slow and controlled introductions to any new furry friends! Due to Yahtzee's size and bouts of excitability, he would be best suited in a home with no young children but may do well with dog savvy children who understand that he's a large, gentle guy who may not know his own strength at times! Pitbulls are strong, loyal, affectionate, and deeply connected companions who tend to bond deeply with their people. Yahtzee would do best with guardians with breed experience who are prepared to meet his physical and mental needs. At six, Yahtzee is beginning to show some age‑typical mild hip soreness, nothing unusual for a dog of his size, but he'll benefit from someone committed to keeping him comfortable and supported as he matures. A thoughtful exercise routine, a cozy place to rest, and regular check‑ins with a veterinarian will go a long way in helping him stay active and happy. In return, he offers loyalty, affection, and a quiet kind of companionship that feels like a winning hand every single day.If you think Yahtzee could be a good fit for you, please fill out an application below.https://spca.bc.ca/survey/dog-adoption-application-kamloops/*TIP: We encourage all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted.
