Meet Perla! She is a blind 2-year-old Cane Corso/Pit Bull Terrier mix, sniffing out her forever home. This lovely girl has all the charm in the world; her goofy personality and love of people make her instantly adored by anyone she meets. We don't know anything about her past, so we learn more about her every day! Her favourite thing is to find a comfy spot near her pals, listen to music, and relax. She is partially leash trained but can get nervous with traffic sounds and busy areas, and would prefer even, steady walks in a quiet environment. Perla is mostly blind, but she seems to be able to perceive light and shadows. She is very talented at using sounds to help navigate herself around but does need assistance when moving around uncertain spaces. Perla came to the shelter with some skin issues, which will require ongoing vet care, possibly including a special diet and medication. Perla's perfect place would be easy to navigate, ideally one floor with no sharp corners, and lots of places to lounge. She would need a slow transition to being alone for long periods of time, so someone with flexibility in their schedule would be best. She often jumps when excited to greet people, so young or unsteady folks would not be suitable around her. **Perla is still awaiting her spay surgery, so she is available for Foster-To-Adopt until that time.
