This pet is is heartworm positive, but don't let that break your heart! We have a treatment plan ready to go and we are covering 100% of the costs at our facility. You bring the belly rubs, and we’ll handle the rest. EXERCISE NEEDS: Daily Workout EASE OF TRAINING: Willing FRIENDLINESS WITH PEOPLE: Loves Everyone PLAYFULNESS: Amateur FRIENDLINESS WITH DOGS: Social LEASH MANNERS: Pulls Sometimes Dracona is a soulful pit bull mix who proves that the biggest hearts often come in the quietest packages. Originally found as a stray in a stranger’s yard by one of our rescue partners, she has traded her wandering days for a quest to find the perfect forever lap. She is the definition of a "gentle giant," known for offering soft, butterfly-light kisses and greeting every person she meets with a wagging tail and pure devotion. While she is a social butterfly who truly enjoys the company of other dogs, Dracona is a sensitive soul who appreciates a predictable pace. She can be a bit nervous about car rides and sudden changes to her routine, so she’s looking for a patient, loving family who can provide a calm "home base" where she feels secure. If you’re looking for a quiet, tender companion to fill your home with love, Dracona is waiting to meet you.

EXERCISE NEEDS: Daily Workout EASE OF TRAINING: Willing FRIENDLINESS WITH PEOPLE: Outgoing PLAYFULNESS: Amateur FRIENDLINESS WITH DOGS: Tolerant LEASH MANNERS: Pulls Often A Special Request: Let’s get Sarabel out of the shelter before April 24th! She has so many kisses saved up from the last two years—she just needs someone to give them to. It is heartbreaking to think that Sarabel is approaching her two-year shelter anniversary on April 24th, 2026. This resilient, stumpy-legged Pittie mix has spent far too long waiting for her "forever," and she deserves to spend her next anniversary on a fluffy rug in a real home. Sarabel is a true lesson in optimism—despite living with IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease), she refuses to let her "unique" walk dampen her spirit. To Sarabel, every day is a grand adventure, especially if there's a snack at the end of it! With a signature wiggle that starts at her nose and ends at her tail, Sarabel is a bundle of joy who radiates happiness. She’s the ultimate cuddlebug, transitioning from a playful explorer to a professional snuggler the moment she finds a warm lap. While she moves a little differently, her heart beats just as strongly as any other dog's—maybe even a little more loudly. The Sarabel Special: -Resilient Spirit: Two years in a shelter hasn't dimmed her contagious, beaming smile. -Low-Rider Charm: Those stumpy legs and "wiggle-walk" make her one of a kind. -The Ultimate Cuddlebug: She lives for warmth, proximity, and belly rubs. -Foodie Extraordinaire: Extremely motivated by treats (which makes training a blast!). Health Note for Her Future Family: To keep Sarabel feeling her best and to protect her back, she needs to maintain her "girlish figure." Her new family should be prepared to: -Manage Her Weight: Extra "fluff" can put strain on her spine. -Healthy Snacking: She’d love to trade high-calorie biscuits for crunchy carrots, crisp apples, or a dollop of pumpkin puree.
