Story
Snickerdoodle is the sweetest and most loving dog that I've ever met. She's a true "velcro" dog that's low to medium energy. She would love to be adopted into a household that would provide her with snuggles. She's been a staff favorite everywhere she's been due to her extremely loving and affectionate nature. Snickerdoodle loves to play fetch and gives the ball back gently. Snickerdoodle was seized by law enforcement in an animal cruelty case. While her previous owner's trial was ongoing, she (and 30 other dogs) had to live in a holding facility because they were considered evidence. After her previous owner was sentenced and incarcerated all of the dogs were set to be euthanized. Our nonprofit organization stepped in and pulled all of the dogs that were adoptable and loving with humans. Snickerdoodle and a few of her friends are now at a family owned boarding facility. They've had time to decompress and allow us to see their true personalities. Snickerdoodle is unsure around other dogs so if her adopter has another pet they would need to commit to a slow introduction process. She's only lived on a chain and in a holding facility so her adopters will need to be patient with her as she learns to live in a real home. She's located in Florida but transport can be arranged for the right situation. She's spayed, fully vetted, up to date on shots and is ready to find her happily ever after.

Story
Bender had a rough start in life but he doesn't let that get him down! He's 3 years old, 42 lbs and happy all of the time. Bender has never met a stranger and loves humans and other dogs. He's housetrained, rides in the car like a perfect gentleman, and would love to go everywhere with his new owner. Bender is outgoing and sweet and is ready for his forever home. He's currently being fostered in the Tampa area. Bender is a bit bowlegged due to spending his puppyhood on a chain but the vet has assured us that he has no issues related.

Emily

Pit Bull Terrier Chesapeake Bay Retriever

Female, 4 yrs 1 mo
palm bay, FL
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Emily seems to have zero interest in other dogs and wasn’t interested in the tester dog. Is calm and quiet, low-medium energy. She enjoys chewing on her bone, going for walks and being petted. Is a staff favorite due to her loving and calm demeanor. Spayed and vaccinated. Emily lived in a home but her owner went to jail. He/she was going to be in jail for a while and asked a friend to surrender her to the shelter. Based on her appearance when she was surrendered it was unknown how long she had been left alone before being surrendered. Emily was on the euth list at this rural shelter and the kennel staff felt so strongly about her that they fought for her life. Emily is an easy going gal who will make an excellent companion and make her new owner laugh a lot! She instantly wins the heart of anyone who meets her and is so ready to have a home of her own.
