Meet Penny 🐾 Tripod pit mix puppy • Spayed female Penny is a resilient little puppy with a big heart and an even bigger personality. She came into the Amarillo shelter with a badly broken leg, and it was determined that amputation was the best option for her long-term comfort and mobility. The amazing thing? Penny doesn’t let being a tripod slow her down one bit. She’s healing beautifully, walking well, and doesn’t seem bothered by her missing leg at all. Like most puppies, Penny is full of playful energy. She loves attention, enjoys cuddling with her people, and is always ready for a game. She gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children, making her a great candidate for many types of homes. Penny also has that classic mischievous puppy streak. She loves toys, enjoys tug and chase games, and may occasionally grab a sock, remote, or anything else she can run off with for fun. Because she’s still a puppy, Penny is very much a work in progress. She isn’t potty trained yet and will need a family ready to commit to training, structure, and all the learning that comes with raising a young dog. What she gives in return is endless affection, entertainment, and a reminder that resilience comes in small, wiggly packages. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful pup with a whole lot of spirit, Penny might be your girl. 🐾
