Meet Sunshine ☀️🐾
Just like her name, Sunshine has a way of brightening every room she walks into.
This sweet 1-year-old Pit Bull mix is the perfect balance of playful and cuddly. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give her a little time and she'll become your loyal shadow, happily following you from room to room and curling up beside you on the couch. Her foster says she's the easiest, most loving dog and that she's incredibly smart, picking up new things quickly.
Sunshine is fully potty trained, crate trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. She already knows sit, down, shake, kennel, and even "leave it," and patiently waits to go outside, making her an easy addition to a family looking for a well-mannered companion.
She gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and children. She plays gently with people, enjoys playing with other dogs, loves a game of fetch, and is happy entertaining herself with toys before coming back for cuddles and attention. She shares her toys nicely and truly enjoys being part of whatever her people are doing.
Sunshine is a sensitive soul, and sometimes unexpected sights or sounds can catch her off guard. Her foster has noticed that she'll occasionally bark if someone walks by carrying a large object, and she can startle when something falls or makes a loud noise. Despite that initial uncertainty, she warms up quickly and is just as happy to hop onto the couch or curl up in bed beside the very same person she barked at moments before. She simply needs a little reassurance that everything is okay.
