Story
Zeus is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves nothing more than being close to his people. He’s an indoor dog with great home manners and a big personality to match his name.Zeus is housetrained and lets you know he needs to go outside by running to the door and giving a little whine. He’s had only a few accidents a year. He’s also crate trained, though he hasn’t used one recently, and he’s comfortable being left to roam the house. He can usually wait 4–8 hours between potty breaks. Zeus has been described as playful, affectionate, vocal, active, and yet, a total couch potato too—it all depends on his mood! He loves plush toys, rope toys, playing gently with his mouth, and curling up for cuddles. Zeus enjoys pets and attention, though he may politely move away when his ears are touched. He’s good for baths and general handling. He was allowed on the furniture and definitely enjoys the comfy life. This smart boy knows sit, stay, come, no, and heel. He may bark or whine when left alone or in the car. He chews on his toys to pass the time and would thrive best with regular exercise. Zeus isn’t the biggest fan of leashes, but with patience and positive experiences, he can learn that walks are just as fun. Fortunately, Zeus has had no issues with leash walking in shelter and is very polite. Zeus is wonderful with women and amazing with children. He’s good with dogs, cats, and even small animals. He can be hesitant with men at first, but with gentle introductions and trust-building, he warms up. We always encourage slow introductions. We can provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed. Zeus is a loving, loyal, playful boy who wants nothing more than a family who understands him, guides him, and gives him a warm place on the couch.
