Story
Tank is a goofy, snow-lovin’ guy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Tank is playful, affectionate, and full of joy, though beneath his fun-loving exterior is a sensitive soul. He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but he just needs a moment to acclimate before truly opening up. Tank has been friendly with other dogs and enjoys playful interactions. He gets along well with his friend Demeter and is usually very polite! Tank would likely enjoy having a doggy friend, and we’re always happy to provide a meet-and-greet to help ensure a good match. It’s unknown whether Tank has lived with small animals or children, but we anticipate success with proper, thoughtful introductions! Tank is happiest when he has a positive outlet for his energy. He loves a variety of toys, going for walks, and most of all, romping through the snow! While he enjoys playtime, Tank truly melts for gentle pets — that’s when you see just how sweet and tender he really is. Tank appears to be potty trained, walks well on leash, and knows the cue “sit.” He’s truly such a good boy and we just adore him. If you feel your home could be the right fit for Tank, we would love for you to meet him!

Story
Captain is a fun-sized shepherd with an irresistible mini stature and a personality that is unmistakably shepherd through and through. He’s a seriously cool boy with a lot to offer the right home. When first meeting new people, Captain can be a little shy and timid, but he has shown that he builds trust quickly. He’s eager to please and clearly wants to do well, though he’s still learning and would appreciate a patient adopter who can offer guidance and grace as he continues to grow. Ideally, Captain would thrive with someone familiar with and appreciative of the German Shepherd breed — they truly are something special! We don’t know if Captain has lived with children or other animals. In the shelter, he has been excitable and very interested in seeing other dogs, often greeting them with enthusiasm and a bit of chatter. While he appears friendly, he may come on strong due to limited experience, so proper introductions will be important. Dog meet-and-greets can be arranged prior to adoption if needed! Captain is an active boy who will do best with positive outlets for his energy. He loves going for walks, romping through the snow, chasing toys, and enjoying a gentle game of tug. He appears to be potty trained, knows the cues “sit” and “down,” and despite the occasional excited jump, walks nicely on a leash. Captain has been a joy to get to know, and his intelligence, energy, and heart make him a wonderful candidate for the right home. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with classic shepherd traits in a fun-sized package, Captain may be your guy!
