Meet Roxy, a shy stunner ready to steal your heart! 🐾This beautiful 5½-year-old Husky mix is one seriously sweet girl! ❤️ Shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, her fun, affectionate personality really shines.💛 **A little about her:**💛❤️ Gentle, sweet & affectionate! Before coming into our care, Roxy spent her days living outdoors and her nights in a crate. Her coat was heavily matted, and she required dental treatment. Today, her teeth are clean and healthy, her fur is soft and fluffy, and she loves nothing more than showing off and happily wagging her big, beautiful, plushy tail. 🪮 Due to the matting in her past, grooming and handling became uncomfortable experiences for her. As a result, she can be cautious and avoidant with touch at first and needs time to build trust. Her coat will require regular brushing throughout her life, so she's looking for a patient, gentle adopter who can help keep grooming a positive experience. And someone who can advocate on the trail that this gorgeous girl needs to give permission before strangers touch her. 🐕 Roxy has previously lived successfully with both a cat and a dog. She does best with slow, thoughtful introductions and prefers the company of male dogs, Roxy does not appreciate female dogs. True to her Husky heritage, Roxy is intelligent, adventurous, and always ready to explore. She walks beautifully on both a short leash and a long line and would love an active adopter who enjoys getting out and discovering new places together.✨Extra quirks - Roxy loves to pick up her food bowl and take it to her chosen perfect dining spot.
