Meet Pecan!Pecan is a bright, affectionate, and energetic large mixed-breed puppy who loves people and is always eager to be part of the action. She enjoys toys, running around the yard, and making new friends. She's a fun, social puppy with plenty of personality. She is very outgoing, sweet and affectionate.Pecan is looking for a very specific home. She was previously adopted but returned due to her mouthy behaviour. While her intentions are playful rather than malicious, she becomes easily over-aroused and frustrated, and her mouthing can become very hard. This is not typical puppy nipping and will require ongoing management, training and commitment from her new guardian.Pecan needs an experienced, confident guardian who understands that this behaviour will take time and dedication to work through. She will thrive with a calm, consistent routine, positive reinforcement training, appropriate outlets for her energy, and someone who is prepared to actively teach her alternative behaviours to offer when she gets mouthy. A flexible schedule and a lots of consistency will help set her up for success.Pecan has done well sleeping in a crate overnight and has enjoyed appropriate play with other dogs. Due to her mouthy behaviour, she is best suited to a home without children. A single person or active couple is ideal.Pecan is a smart young dog with a lot of potential, but she is not the right fit for a first-time dog owner or someone looking for an easy puppy. She needs a guardian who is fully committed to continuing her training and understands that progress will require patience, consistency, and time.
