This sweet senior lady is estimated to be between 9-11 years old (birth year might be 2016). Currently in a foster home with other dogs and gets along well. Cats is unknown. Overall friendly girl who would love nothing more than a warm bed, lots of love and snuggles. Up-to-date on vaccines and is spayed.

Story
Sloan spent at least 6 months surviving on his own in Missouri before he was finally caught. When the local shelter couldn’t keep him and he was at risk of euthanasia, we stepped in to give him a chance—and we’re so glad we did. He has since completed heartworm treatment and has a clean bill of health. Sloan is incredibly sweet, but still nervous with people. He will allow gentle touch, but it’s not something he seeks out yet. Sloan is a true “dog’s dog” and thrives with a confident canine companion. He must have another dog in the home to help him feel safe and continue learning. He will need a patient, calm adopter who understands shy dogs and can give him time, structure, and consistency. With the right home, Sloan has the potential to blossom into an amazing companion.
