Once you're his person, you'll have a loyal companion who loves being near you and knowing he's part of your world. He's a German Shepherd through and through, with that special devotion to the people he loves.Abel would do best with people who understand that first introductions don't have to be rushed. Slower introductions are important, especially around toddlers and very young children, so everyone can feel comfortable.Abel came to DeKalb Humane Society after being transferred from the Muncie animal shelter in Muncie, Indiana, and now it's his turn to find a family of his own. ❤️ Shelter life is no place for a dog who just wants to be someone's companion, and we'd love nothing more than to see Abel trading his kennel for a cozy spot at home.If you're looking for a sweet, loyal older Shepherd who will be happy just being by your side, Abel might be your guy!
