Story
Poppy is a 1 1/2 year old German Shepherd and American Bully mix. She was adopted from a puppy rescue at 3 months old. She is high energy and requires a lot of exercise and enrichment. She knows some basic commands, her name, and is house trained and crate trained. She’s a quick learner and food motivated. She does exhibit a prey drive as well but has been around cats and hasn’t shown aggression. An extremely dog-savvy cat would be ok. She loves other dogs but needs a dog that matches her energy as she often overwhelms more chill dogs. She hasn’t really been around kids, I assume older kids would be fine. She would benefit from an active home and needs plenty of space to get energy out. She would benefit from person comfortable with training and dedicating time to her. She’s very sweet and loves to learn.

Story
**Willow is currently in a foster home!** **Adoption fee sponsored**Willow`s foster mom reports that Willow is a moderate-energy, sweet dog who has a core of mischief. Willow will make plots to find and secure her most precious things. What are those things? Blankets and soft toys. Any soft blanket or toy she can access will be dragged to her bed or the couch so she can make a nest and then suck on it. Complete with squinty eyes and kneading toes. So cute!Willow`s perfect home would be with someone who has some experience with husky-type dogs, or has a great sense of humor and is open to learning. She would do best as an only dog because she is selective about who she wants to be friends with. A case could be made for a larger, calm male dog with a few introductions. Willow is crate trained and comfortable sleeping in her crate or being left alone in her crate. She will sometimes even go in there on her own for a nap. She can be left for the workday but will need regular exercise and enrichment when you are home. She adores snuggling with her people. Willow also loves water and can swim and splash. She also loves cold weather and will happily play and stay outside in the cold. Willow adores hiking in the woods and would love a family willing to take her along on those kinds of activities.Willow`s foster mom has continued to work with her on basic obedience and loose-leash walking. They go for walks around the neighborhood, and Willow has learned to move on past other dogs and distractions. Willow does have a well-developed prey drive and loves to chase after small fuzzy things she sees, including cats. When on her regular walks, her ability to ignore those types of distractions is improving, but will likely be a work in progress for her in a new home as well. Because of her prey drive, we believe she shouldn`t go to a home that has cats or house rabbits. She does ignore caged pets in the house, but again, it would be important to keep her and those pets strictly separated.Willow is reserved with new people, but she is learning with her foster mom how to greet new people and make friends. She does recognize her special people and will greet them with enthusiasm. In public, she is mostly neutral towards strangers but will move away if approached. Any potential adopters should plan on meeting Willow more than once before taking her home. If you are interested in learning more about Willow and arranging a date, pleas
