Story
Unavailable - Medical Emergency Unfortunately we have to remove Balto from our list of available dogs for now. We are hoping he pulls through. We will update the page with how he is doing. UPDATE 1/12 Balto was tested yet again for Parvo and this time came back positive, after testing negative more than once yesterday. He will stay the night in Mt Pleasant. UPDATE Sunday 6pm: Our local ER vet assessed Balto and recommended transferring him to a better equipped ER in Mount Pleasant so that’s where Balto is headed tonight!! We put up $1,100 (with your help) at the local ER and have been quoted another roughly $3,000-$5,000 when he arrives to Mount Pleasant. We still aren’t sure what’s causing our sweet boy to be so sick, but we will fight for him every step of the way. We can’t fight without our army though. Please keep the prayers coming! Donate if you can, share if you can’t. Balto needs us❤️ ORIGINAL POST Sunday 3pm: Balto is a young husky puppy who was rushed to the emergency vet this afternoon after suddenly becoming severely ill. He’s been vomiting and is unable to keep anything down — and we still don’t know what’s causing it. He’s lethargic, dehydrated, and his condition is serious. Our rescue had to place an $800 emergency deposit just to begin treatment, and we’ve been told his care will likely exceed that as they run diagnostics, fluids, and supportive treatment to stabilize him. We are determined to give Balto every chance to fight — but we cannot do it without help. If you can spare anything, no amount is too small. It truly adds up and directly goes toward saving his little life. Please donate, share, and keep Balto in your thoughts tonight. 🐾💔 📍 DONATE HERE: https://tr.ee/-0Wlj2D2NI Venmo: @Lisa-Saunders-24
