Story
🐾 Courtesy Listing: Meet Ronin 🐾 This dog is not in the care of Shiba Saviors. We are assisting his family by accepting applications and helping them find the right forever home. Any adoption decisions will be made through Ronin’s owners. Meet Ronin Ronin is an 11½-year-old male Shiba Inu looking for a quiet retirement home where he can enjoy his golden years. Don’t let his age fool you. While he’s slowed down a bit, he still enjoys walks, playtime, and learning new things, especially if treats are involved. Like many Shibas, Ronin is independent and appreciates having his own space. He isn’t a velcro dog or constant cuddler, but he loves being near his people. Whether you’re working from home or relaxing on the couch, he’ll happily settle nearby to keep you company. One of Ronin’s biggest strengths is how food motivated he is. He enjoys training, knows several basic commands, walks nicely on leash, and has excellent house manners. About Ronin 🐕 Male Shiba Inu 🎂 11½ years old ⚖️ Approximately 40 pounds ✅ House trained ✅ Leash trained ✅ Knows basic commands ✅ Very food motivated ✅ Enjoys walks and occasional playtime ✅ Loves being close to his people Health Ronin is overall in good health for his age. Receives Cytopoint as needed for seasonal allergies. Has a few benign fatty lipomas that have been examined by his veterinarian. Moves a little slower due to age and an old leg injury but still enjoys daily life. Currently eating a weight-management diet. Experiences some anxiety during veterinary visits and nail trims, so his family uses medication and low-stress grooming to keep him comfortable. The Home He’s Looking For Ronin has classic Shiba traits. He’s intelligent, loyal, and independent. He can be aloof with new people at first but warms up and enjoys human companionship. He does have a prey drive and has shown resource guarding around food and occasionally toys with other dogs. He currently lives successfully with another dog, but because of these behaviors, his family believes he would be happiest as the only pet. As his owners prepare to welcome their first baby, they have made the heartbreaking decision that they won’t be able to safely manage Ronin’s needs while caring for a young child. This decision comes from love and careful planning, not a lack of commitment to him. Ronin’s Ideal Home 🏡 Adult-only home 🐾 No other pets preferred 🚫 No small children 🌳 Securely fenced yard is a plus, though he also walks well on leash. Ronin deserves a family that appreciates the unique personality that makes Shibas so special and is looking for a loyal companion to share quiet evenings and adventures together. Interested in Ronin? Although Ronin remains with his family, Shiba Saviors is accepting applications on his behalf and will help coordinate with his owners to find the best possible match. Please apply on our website at https://shibasaviors.org/adopt and specify Ronin in the application.

Story
PLEASE READ ALL NOTES BELOW THE ANIMAL PROFILE! Hi, I’m **Leia** 🐾 I’m a 1.5-year-old Husky x Shiba Inu mix — part athlete, part brainiac, all sass! I’m full of energy, super smart, and love a good challenge. I know some commands like sit, down, and stay, but let’s be honest… I only do what I want unless there are treats involved. I know my worth. 😉 I’m not the type to cuddle immediately. I need time, patience, and trust to build a strong bond. But once I let you in, I’ll show you my goofy, loyal side — and I’m *very* treat-motivated. I LOVE having a “job” or something to do, whether it’s training, games, or problem-solving puzzles. I need a very **active, adult-only home** — no kids, no cats, no other dogs. I’d do best as the only dog, ideally in a home with a **big fenced yard** or even a farm where I can safely run, explore, and have space to roam. I thrive when I have consistent guidance, advanced training, and mental stimulation. A little honesty: I have some challenges. I can bite when being picked up or when a lead is placed on me, and I’m sensitive around my face and neck. I need someone who will respect my boundaries on touch and work with me on feeling comfortable with a leash on/respecting your own boundaries. I’m also still learning leash manners, crate training, and not being possessive over toys and food. But I’m incredibly intelligent, and with a patient, dedicated human, I can absolutely thrive. From my foster: “Leia is incredibly smart and willing to learn — as long as food is involved! She needs someone she can trust and bond with. Once that happens, she’s unstoppable.” If you’re ready for a loyal, brilliant, and high-energy companion who will challenge you and love you on her terms, I’m your girl. I promise — life with me is never boring! 💛 Adoption FEE: $0 which includes her spay, microchip, and vaccines. LEIA DOES HAVE A HUMAN BITE RECORD. Story
PLEASE READ THE ANIMAL’S PROFILE AND ALL NOTES BELOW BEFORE APPLYING! Hi, I’m Pippa 🌸🐾 I’m a 1.5-year-old Shiba Inu mix with a gentle heart and so much love to give. I can be a little shy at first and may need a bit of time to warm up, but once I trust you, I turn into the sweetest, most affectionate companion—you’ll get kisses, cuddles, and all the love you could ever want 💛 I’m playful when the moment is right, but I’m truly a couch potato at heart. I love belly rubs, being told I’m a “good girl,” and curling up next to my person. I’m very eager to please and will happily sit for treats! I’m crate trained, potty trained, leash trained, and well-behaved in the home. I’m still gaining confidence on the leash and working through some nervousness, but I’m improving every day with patience and encouragement. I get along well with other dogs, but I would do best in a calm, relaxed home where I can feel safe and comfortable. A fenced yard would be wonderful so I can explore at my own pace without too much pressure. My ideal home would be a small, patient household (1–3 people) that understands I may need a little time to come out of my shell. Once I do, I promise to give you my whole heart—I’m incredibly loyal and loving. A little note from my foster: Pippa is truly the sweetest girl. She just needs a little patience, and once she feels safe, she absolutely falls in love with her person—she’s going to make such a special companion 🌸🐾💛 Adoption FEE: $250, which includes her spay, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals. A Mercy Full Project (MFP) Adoption Application MUST BE COMPLETED in order for you to be considered as a potential adopter. By filling out the MFP Adoption Application you agree and understand that ADOPTION IS NOT GUARANTEED. We are not first come, first served and submitting an application does NOT guarantee adoption. Story
Looking for a low key dog? Pick Mink! She is calm and sweet and loves attention. She does not like in your face dogs. Mink is just under 30lbs. She is not livestock reactive and seem to get along with everything but she has not been close to cats, so don’t know about that. She probably would need a fenced yard to be comfortable. Mink is currently fostered in the Spring Hill, FL area. Mink's foster is willing to travel within 2 hours of Spring Hill, FL for an approved adoption applicant!

Story
Daisy is 6 years old. We adopted her from a kennel in Pennsylvania and 2 years prior to that, we adopted her sister Kenzie from the same kennel. Daisy is very playful, friendly and cute. We have two kids and it’s been difficult with busy schedule and work travels. We want to find a loving and safe home for Daisy as she deserves the best. She is very good with kids and love long walks and runs. She is fully vaccinated. We are not in rush and want to make sure she finds a caring parents and family,
