Story
Daisy walks well on a leash, rides well in a car (no motion sickness), doesn't bark, doesn't dig, doesn't chew, smiles & sings. She loves to be outside in a shady fenced yard as long as there are no thunderstorms. Thunderstorms make her anxious and I typically give her Trazadone to help during these times. She needs to be an only pet as she does not get along well with other dogs or cats. We have had her for 4 years hoping she would eventually get along with our cat but we have not made any progress with that and feel she would be better off in a home where she could be the only pet. Happy to send her bed and all of the other things she has if we can find a good home for her.

Story
Meet Mei 4 years old • Female • Spayed • Red Shiba Inu Mei is one of the gentlest Shibas you’ll ever meet. She doesn’t bark much, she has never bitten anyone in our care, and she simply wants a quiet place where she can finally feel safe. Mei was spayed on July 14 and is recovering beautifully. She is officially available for adoption. When Mei first arrived, she flinched at every touch. With patience, routine, and gentle handling, she has made wonderful progress. She now enjoys affection from the people she trusts and continues to gain confidence every week. She will be very timid when meeting new people, but we believe she will continue to blossom in a home where she receives consistent love and attention. Mei is a larger Shiba and could benefit from losing a few pounds through regular walks and a healthy diet. Living with Mei Mei gets along well with other dogs and has done well with our cats. She does resource guard food and high-value items such as stuffed Kongs, chews, and special treats, so these should simply be given separately from other pets. This has been easy to manage in our home. The Home She’s Looking For Mei would thrive in a calm, patient home that understands shy dogs. Because loud noises and constant activity frighten her, we do not believe a home with young children would be fair to her. She would likely spend much of her time hiding instead of learning to relax and enjoy life. Like nearly every Shiba, Mei is also a flight risk and will require careful management around doors, gates, and while outdoors. If you’re willing to let trust grow at Mei’s pace, you’ll discover a wonderfully gentle companion with a heart that’s worth every bit of patience. Story
🐾 Courtesy Listing: Meet Ronin 🐾 This dog is not in the care of Shiba Saviors. We are assisting his family by accepting applications and helping them find the right forever home. Any adoption decisions will be made through Ronin’s owners. Meet Ronin Ronin is an 11½-year-old male Shiba Inu looking for a quiet retirement home where he can enjoy his golden years. Don’t let his age fool you. While he’s slowed down a bit, he still enjoys walks, playtime, and learning new things, especially if treats are involved. Like many Shibas, Ronin is independent and appreciates having his own space. He isn’t a velcro dog or constant cuddler, but he loves being near his people. Whether you’re working from home or relaxing on the couch, he’ll happily settle nearby to keep you company. One of Ronin’s biggest strengths is how food motivated he is. He enjoys training, knows several basic commands, walks nicely on leash, and has excellent house manners. About Ronin 🐕 Male Shiba Inu 🎂 11½ years old ⚖️ Approximately 40 pounds ✅ House trained ✅ Leash trained ✅ Knows basic commands ✅ Very food motivated ✅ Enjoys walks and occasional playtime ✅ Loves being close to his people Health Ronin is overall in good health for his age. Receives Cytopoint as needed for seasonal allergies. Has a few benign fatty lipomas that have been examined by his veterinarian. Moves a little slower due to age and an old leg injury but still enjoys daily life. Currently eating a weight-management diet. Experiences some anxiety during veterinary visits and nail trims, so his family uses medication and low-stress grooming to keep him comfortable. The Home He’s Looking For Ronin has classic Shiba traits. He’s intelligent, loyal, and independent. He can be aloof with new people at first but warms up and enjoys human companionship. He does have a prey drive and has shown resource guarding around food and occasionally toys with other dogs. He currently lives successfully with another dog, but because of these behaviors, his family believes he would be happiest as the only pet. As his owners prepare to welcome their first baby, they have made the heartbreaking decision that they won’t be able to safely manage Ronin’s needs while caring for a young child. This decision comes from love and careful planning, not a lack of commitment to him. Ronin’s Ideal Home 🏡 Adult-only home 🐾 No other pets preferred 🚫 No small children 🌳 Securely fenced yard is a plus, though he also walks well on leash. Ronin deserves a family that appreciates the unique personality that makes Shibas so special and is looking for a loyal companion to share quiet evenings and adventures together. Interested in Ronin? Although Ronin remains with his family, Shiba Saviors is accepting applications on his behalf and will help coordinate with his owners to find the best possible match. Please apply on our website at https://shibasaviors.org/adopt and specify Ronin in the application.

Story
PLEASE READ THE ANIMAL’S PROFILE AND ALL NOTES BELOW BEFORE APPLYING! Hi, I’m Pippa 🌸🐾 I’m a 1.5-year-old Shiba Inu mix with a gentle heart and so much love to give. I can be a little shy at first and may need a bit of time to warm up, but once I trust you, I turn into the sweetest, most affectionate companion—you’ll get kisses, cuddles, and all the love you could ever want 💛 I’m playful when the moment is right, but I’m truly a couch potato at heart. I love belly rubs, being told I’m a “good girl,” and curling up next to my person. I’m very eager to please and will happily sit for treats! I’m crate trained, potty trained, leash trained, and well-behaved in the home. I’m still gaining confidence on the leash and working through some nervousness, but I’m improving every day with patience and encouragement. I get along well with other dogs, but I would do best in a calm, relaxed home where I can feel safe and comfortable. A fenced yard would be wonderful so I can explore at my own pace without too much pressure. My ideal home would be a small, patient household (1–3 people) that understands I may need a little time to come out of my shell. Once I do, I promise to give you my whole heart—I’m incredibly loyal and loving. A little note from my foster: Pippa is truly the sweetest girl. She just needs a little patience, and once she feels safe, she absolutely falls in love with her person—she’s going to make such a special companion 🌸🐾💛 Adoption FEE: $250, which includes her spay, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals. A Mercy Full Project (MFP) Adoption Application MUST BE COMPLETED in order for you to be considered as a potential adopter. By filling out the MFP Adoption Application you agree and understand that ADOPTION IS NOT GUARANTEED. We are not first come, first served and submitting an application does NOT guarantee adoption. You will be contacted by an Adoption Coordinator once your application has gone through the approval process. Please ONLY APPLY IF you are ready to commit to adoption. Looking for a low key dog? Pick Mink! She is calm and sweet and loves attention. She does not like in your face dogs. Mink is just under 30lbs. She is not livestock reactive and seem to get along with everything but she has not been close to cats, so don’t know about that. She probably would need a fenced yard to be comfortable. Mink is currently fostered in the Spring Hill, FL area. Mink's foster is willing to travel within 2 hours of Spring Hill, FL for an approved adoption applicant!
