Story
Hi, my name is Saige! I raised my 6 sweet babies and now it's my turn to get adopted. I like other dogs and would love a buddy to play with in my new home, and I get also along with cats! I might be petite but I have "big dog energy" as they say, because I love walks, playing, and running around the yard, but I can also be chill and watch tv with you. I am house trained and crate trained, and will go in my crate on my own when I need a nap. I can be a little nervous around new people and new things, and take a little more time to warm up to men. I am still learning about all the things in the world that can be a little scary. Young kids might not be the best for me, because sometimes I get really excited and use my teefers to grab pant legs. I have made a lot of progress with my confidence in my foster home and my foster mom and dad are really proud of me! I do need good supervision because if I hear a scary noise I might run, so I need to be safe and secure at all times. I am a really sweet girl and I will get REALLY excited to see you when you come home every day, what more could you ask for!Since I am in foster, call or text 912 429 1042 to make arrangements to meet me.

Story
Kilala (or kiwi) is a happy-go-lucky puppers! She’s house trained, loves taking walks, and knows sit, stand, lay, up, down, shake and roll over. She’s a lap dog, loves to fetch and LOVES food, bones, treats and pets. She raises her paw when you scratch her stomach and chest and smiles. She’s a great dog, and will truly be something to miss. So, here’s the reason why we’re rehoming her: A touch of food aggression. She’s NEVER bit a person but she’s feisty with our little cat that tries to get her food. An ideal home for her would be a household without cats, or small animals. I would presume toddlers and little kids because of the food aggression. She is a fun dog, and a beautiful soul. We love her dearly and are sad to have to rehome her. Trust me, this is a great dog. She’s roughly 4 years old, pure shiba and not spayed yet. I encourage questions and to reach out me if you would love this baby.

Story
Introducing Ren! Age: 3 years old Breed: Chihuahua Mix Arrival Date: 04-12-2024 Meet Ren, a gentle and mild-mannered 3-year-old male Chihuahua mix. Ren arrived at our shelter on April 12th, 2024. He's a little shy, but with the right family to give him time to adjust, Ren's true potential can shine through as the best boy! Temperament Though Ren may take a little while to warm up to new surroundings and people, don't let his initial shyness deter you. He is the epitome of a mild-mannered canine, ready to flourish with a patient and understanding family. Personality Ren's calm and gentle demeanor makes him a delightful companion once he feels safe and secure. He may not be the life of the party, but his low-key presence is perfect for someone looking for a quieter, loyal friend. ♥ Skills/Training Ren is likely potty trained due to his age and temperament, which is a great benefit for those who are looking for an easier transition with a new pet. With encouragement and love, he'll continue to uphold his good habits. Medical Ren is up to date on all his vaccines, which means he's in great health and ready for adoption. Additionally, he will be neutered upon adoption, an important factor in maintaining his well-being for years to come. Potential With the right family's love and patience, Ren has all the potential to blossom into a confident and loving pet. He's the kind of dog who will repay your kindness tenfold with his unwavering loyalty. If your heart and home are ready for a quiet, gentle soul who needs just a bit of time to show his true colors, then Ren could very well be your perfect match. Welcome Ren into your life, and watch as he becomes the loyal and loving companion you've been searching for! ##2016710##

Story
Koopa is a playful 3 yr. old Shiba Inu boy. He weighs 30 pounds and has a beautiful full red coat. As an active boy, he will need a fenced yard to run in, and would benefit from daily walks with his new family. He will also love to come with you on your car trips. Koopa loves all toys and balls, with stuffed animals and squeaky balls his favorite. If you are too busy to play, he will toss the toys in the air himself and run to retrieve them. Koopa is a great snuggler and will sleep at your feet if you let him. He is dominant over small dogs and should be adopted as an only dog. He is great on walks, exploring everything and ignoring other dogs, even if they are barking at him. He is wary of small children and we are looking for an adult-only home for him. He is fully house trained. Koopa is currently fostering in North Carolina. Please visit our main site for more information or to apply to adopt.

Story
Meet Georgia, a resilient 1-year-8-month-old Shiba Inu/Carolina dog mix, on a brave journey through life's challenges. This brave pup, having survived and shed a virus she contracted as a puppy, has been diagnosed with a heart arrhythmia. This arrhythmia could end her life tomorrow or in a couple of years. Despite this setback, Georgia's eyes tell a story of courage and resilience. She can be shy at first but warms up quickly. Her youthful exuberance persists, and she now seeks a hospice foster to provide her the love she deserves. In the face of adversity, Georgia's playful nature remains intact. She loves to play with her toys, as well as dog friends. She's in search of a compassionate foster home where she will be met with patience and understanding.Georgia promises unwavering loyalty and affection, grateful for each precious moment she shares with a caring companion. Your open home and heart can make all the difference, offering Georgia comfort and solace. Will you be the beacon of hope for Georgia's remaining time, providing her with the quality of life she deserves? I am currently up for adoption. If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out an application or call the Humane Society of Forsyth County at (770) 887-6480 for more information on me! We are open Tuesday thru Saturday for adoptions Love, Georgia!
