Story
Peanut is a tiny package of love and motion! This itty bitty guy loves to be held and wants to be in on ALL the action. Peanut has been through a lot in his young life and just arrived in Iowa from an overwhelmed shelter in Texas. Still, he is giving life his all, and he will be a delightful companion for the family who chooses this happy, wiggly, active little guy. Peanut is fun to be with, curious, and happy. Meet him today to bring his joyful nature right into your life, too! Adopters must agree to neuter Peanut when age appropriate.

Story
Hello, I would like you to meet Oakley. A pure bred Shiba Inu with TONS of personality. He loves sniffing around the yard and attempting to catch birds/squirrels, and playing with toys. He is highly active and will need to be taken on regular walks, thankfully I have almost never had to trim his nails because he wears them down outdoors perfectly. He does shed quite a bit as all Shiba Inu's do. He's aggressive towards most dogs, we haven't attempted cats yet. With that, we would prefer him to be the only animal in the home. He was raised in a in home daycare so is great with kids as long as he's not riled up and excited (he play nips at your clothes sometimes when he gets the zoomies). Will need to go to a home with a privacy fence. He's a great dog and knows many commands, but doesn't get along with 2 of our other 4 rescues. Please reach out with any questions or if you'd like to set up a play date with Oakley!

Story
If you have ANY QUESTIONS or are truly interested in adopting any animal from PAW Animal Shelter Please, fillout an adoption application FIRST!   WE are a high intake No Kill Shelter ran by a staff of 4 and do not always have time to answer every question asked by so many. If you are a good fit for the animal you are interested in -we will call to speak with you, If we feel you are not a good fit , we will contact you about other pets that may be a good fit for your home. Many people are losing the opportunity to adopt the animal they want because they fail to put in an application and the pet was adopted before we could answer your email. .If you have applied for an animal in our facility and have not received a response within 7 days, PLEASE call or contact us again. Though we do our best in trying to answer all emails in a timely manner, sometimes things get away from us, get lost or misplaced. It is never our intention to ignore a request about an adoptable animal in our facility. Sandy Brown, Director, PAW Animal Shelter 319-372-2274 ##2506698##
