Story
Butter has been a smooth pal since we got the call to pick him up! He was in someone's backyard playing with the kids with out a care in the world. He just can't resist meeting a new person, and will quickly become your next velcro dog. When he went home for a couple nights with one of our ACOs, he followed her around anywhere and enjoyed sitting in the kitchen while yummy sweets were being made, but politely not trying to take any. It was clear he had a nice disposition. If you don't mind him missing an eye, i think he would be the perfect doggie for the kids to play with and house companion for those working from home or living alone. His favorite toys are stuffed animals he can tear up and chew gently. The only thing we would mention about training opportunities is that he is a bit possessive of his food. Let him eat in peace, and he is other wise fine with other dogs. If you would like to meet him, he would love to see you in our meet and greet room with his favorite toy. You'll be very happy you did! All animal adoptions are typically $80. For puppies and kittens under the age of 6 months, adoptions are $100. For dogs, this includes the first series of vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter, heartworm testing and heartworm preventative. For cats, this includes the first series of vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter and feline AIDS/leukemia testing. All cats and kittens adopted from the Germantown Animal Shelter are not allowed to be declawed. Any questions should be directed to animalshelter@germantown-tn.gov. Or by calling the shelter at 901-757-7358.
