Hi, I’m Beatrice! I’m an adorable 20-pound Maltese/Poodle mix with a gentle heart and a sweet personality that I’m slowly learning to share with the world.
I can be pretty shy when I first meet new people, so I’m looking for a family who understands that the best relationships sometimes take a little time. I’ve already started coming out of my shell more and more, and it’s been so wonderful for everyone to see my personality begin to shine!
I can be shy around other dogs too, but with patience, slow introductions, and time to adjust, I can become more comfortable. I would do well with kids ages 5 and up who can be gentle with me, respect my space, and allow me to build trust at my own pace.
I haven’t been around cats yet, but if my future family has feline friends, I can be cat tested. With my gentle nature, I’d probably do just fine with cats, especially with a thoughtful introduction and a little time to get comfortable.
One of my favorite things is going for walks! I love getting outside, taking my time, and making sure I get plenty of good sniffs in along the way. Once I feel safe and comfortable in a home, a whole other side of me comes out. I love to play chase, zoom around as fast as my little legs will carry me, and show off my playful side!
And there is one very important requirement for my future family: multiple belly rubs every single day. This is non-negotiable! Once I decide you’re one of my people, I hope you’re prepared to keep those belly rubs coming.
I may need a little extra patience in the beginning, but give me the time and space I need, and you’ll get to experience the joy of watching a shy little girl blossom into a playful, loving companion.
