If you’re the kind of person who believes senior dogs deserve the BEST years of their life, meet Jackson—the little old gentleman who will melt your heart. At 11 years old, Jackson is absolutely a senior, but he is so incredibly sweet that everyone who meets him falls in love instantly. He may not see the world anymore, but he hears just fine and follows the sound of your voice with the sweetest earnestness. Jackson is blind and has a collapsed trachea, so you’ll sometimes hear him give a little cough, especially when he’s adjusting to new surroundings. He just needs a few days to learn the layout and gain confidence in a new home—but once he does, he settles beautifully. His foster can’t say enough wonderful things about him. He’s calm, gentle, and seems to be housetrained. Best of all? Jackson LOVES to snuggle in bed at night, nestling in like he’s been your dog forever.

🌸 Meet Missy — Your New Favorite Sidekick! 🌸 Hello there! I’m Missy, a 4½-year-old Shih-Tzu/Maltese mix with a heart full of love and a suitcase full of dreams for my forever home. I came to Heartland with my siblings, Poochy and Chase. Poochy already found her happily-ever-after, so now it’s just me and Chase waiting for our turn to shine! I’m a gentle, friendly girl who adores my humans. I am shy at first, but once I realize you’re a friend, I turn into a total cuddle bug. I’m the perfect blend of sweet and spirited — ready to follow you anywhere life takes you. ✨ My Favorite Things: Car rides (shotgun partner reporting for duty!) Playing with other dogs Toys, toys, toys! Exploring the world on walks If you live a full, busy life, I’d be a wonderful companion to keep you company on all your adventures. I get along with other dogs and am perfectly tolerant of cats, too. A quick heads-up: I’m not house trained yet. But don’t let that scare you! I’m smart, eager to learn, and with a little patience and encouragement from a loving family, I know I’ll get the hang of it. So… are you looking for a sweet little friend who will love you endlessly, make you laugh, and always be happy to see you?
