He’s more than a snack, he’s the whole darn Feast! This adorable boy didn’t always have such an impressive name. Feast was found completely devoid of hope, laying alone in a dark field with extensive injuries covering his tiny body. He had clearly had an encounter with a car and had crawled over to a safe space to accept a sad fate. By some miracle, Animal Care Services came to his aid just in time and did a fantastic job of getting him stable. Now, he is our new “project dog” at SNIPSA, and we are devoted to his long-term recovery and happiness. SNIPSA’s veterinarian is managing Feast’s road rash with hydrotherapy, medical-grade honey, and regular bandage changes. We were not able to save Feast’s front leg due to a fracture and extensive nerve damage so we opted to have it amputated. Now in recovery as a tri-legged cutie, Feast will be ready for adoption in a handful of weeks. In a few months, he will be a whole new dog! Despite his current condition, Feast has already impressed everyone with his wonderful temperament. He is always grinning with his charming underbite and wagging his little tail a mile a minute. He loves chin scratches, begging for scraps, and is simply a happy-go-lucky shadow. To our surprise, Feast is completely potty trained and great with other animals, leading us to believe he was owned at one point in his life. What’s tiny, curly, and as cute as can be? It’s Sadie! Sadie was owner-surrendered to SNIPSA with three other dogs from the same home. While we don’t know much about their previous home life, we do know that Sadie needs a patient hand. This girl is overcoming her fears day by day–she clearly experienced some trauma in her past. But despite arriving a little “ruff” and rattled, her snuggly personality really shines in a calm environment. Sadie is a Poodle/Schnauzer mix, and she is fully grown at around a year and a half. Poodle/Schnauzer mixes are intelligent, playful, and affectionate dogs, known for being friendly with families and other dogs. These breeds are famous for their low-shedding coats, but consistent brushing and grooming will be needed to help prevent tangles and matting. If you’d like to give Sadie the love and patience she has been searching for, apply to meet her. She will make the sweetest, most grateful companion.

Six tiny puppies about 10days old were found along a road by Bexar County Animal Services .They were alerted by concerned citizens which led them to about 20 poodle, terrier and pug mixes . These sweet, well socialized and healthy puppies have been in foster care since found. They are age appropriately vaccinated , wormed, microchipped, have had a vet evaluation . When more grown up Poquita will have them spayed or neutered . There adoption fee is $ 300.
