Story
Meet Sleepy! This 10 year old, 15 lbs pup is searching for his forever home this holiday season.🎄This sweet little guy found himself at the shelter just before the holidays after his former owner could no longer care for him and his siblings. Sleepy can be very shy at first, but with a little patience and a lot of love, he warms up like a cozy fire on a winter night and lets his gentle, loving personality shine. 🤍Sleepy is crate trained and still working on potty training. He proudly rocks the cutest “lion” haircut, and his coat is absolutely stunning—truly a Christmas-card-worthy pup. ✨🐶Because Sleepy has limited vision, he prefers to be picked up while you’re sitting down, which helps him feel safe and secure. Once he trusts you, he’s a total sweetheart who just wants to be close. We would love for Sleepy to stay with his brother Bashful, but he’d also do wonderfully as an only pup or with another calm, gentle dog.🐾Even better news—Sleepy will be at Santa’s Wonderland this Saturday! Come meet this precious boy, snap a festive photo, and maybe make this holiday season the one where Sleepy finally finds his forever home. 🏡To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.https://longwayhome.org/apply ❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.

Story
Meet Rocket, the ultimate gentleman in a fluffy package! This 17-pound poodle mix may be 11 years young, but you’d never guess it by the way he trots around with a sparkle in his eye. Rocket is proof that age is just a number—he’s still full of love, charm, and just the right amount of pep.Rocket has a heart as soft as his curls. He’s wonderfully gentle and gets along beautifully with other dogs, cats, and kids, making him the perfect fit for almost any family. Whether it’s curling up for a movie night or tagging along for a walk, Raymond’s favorite place to be is right by your side. He is a true snuggler who thrives on companionship and will happily soak up all the cuddles you’re willing to give. This little man has mastered the art of being both calm and affectionate, with just enough energy to keep life fun and sweet. If you’re looking for a loyal friend who will warm your lap and your heart, Rocket is ready to show you that senior dogs make the very best companions.Rocket did come to us with a habit of marking when is allowed to free roam indoors. He does not have full accidents inside but will try to mark his territory here and there. He does not mark while he is in his kennel. We recommend him being kenneled or wearing a belly band when left unsupervised to avoid any marking. To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.https://longwayhome.org/apply ❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. Story
🪨✨ Meet Betty Rubble! ✨🪨This sweet little cavegirl is ready to rock her way into your heart! 🦴💛Betty is the sweetest girl with a big Bedrock personality — she’s playful, loves to follow you around like your loyal little sidekick, and brings the perfect amount of spunk to your stone-age life! 🐾She does great in an x-pen, but when she’s left alone she might let out a few “YABBA DABBA DOO!” barks to let you know she misses you (not destructive at all — she eventually settles down for a prehistoric nap 💤).Betty is also hearing impaired, but don’t worry — she doesn’t let that slow her down one bit! She’s just extra tuned in to her humans and loves being close by. 🥹💕✅ Great with other dogs✅ Appears 100% housebroken✅ Super affectionate + goofy✅ Not destructive, just a little chatty🍽️ Food: Betty is currently eating Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin Small Breed – Salmon, since she has a chicken allergy.Because she can be vocal when left alone, she may do best outside of an apartment so she has room to be her fabulous Bedrock self. 🏠🦴Betty Rubble is ready to join your Flintstone family — now all she needs is her forever crew!To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.https://longwayhome.org/apply ❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds.
