Story
Meet Trixie – A Little Survivor with a Big Heart! Trixie is a 1-year-old Shih Tzu who weighs just 8 pounds but has a heart as big as they come. Despite facing a rough start in life, Trixie is the sweetest, most affectionate pup you’ll ever meet. She loves everyone and everything—cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, and even rabbits. While she’s not always in the mood to play with other dogs (probably due to size differences), she’s perfectly content snuggling up with her humans, and there’s no place she’d rather be than on your lap. Trixie is doing great with her potty training, having only minimal accidents, and she keeps her kennel clean. She’s also been a trooper with her health—she’s currently on a special diet prescribed by the vet to manage crystals in her urine (don’t worry, she’s a tiny girl, so she doesn’t require much food!). Although she’s had a challenging past, Trixie is a happy girl who shows no signs of pain. She does have an ankle injury which is being monitored by a vet, and a splint is recommended to help stabilize the joint. It doesn’t hold her back from being playful and loving.  Trixie is looking for a special family who will shower her with love, patience, and care. She has so much joy to offer and will bring light and laughter into any home. Trixie’s adoption fee is $200, which includes her current vet check, spay, UTD vaccinations, microchip, and a current heartworm test.
