He's the first to trot over, tail wagging, ready to make a new friend. Sandy, the female, is a bit more reserved at first, preferring to take her time warming up - but once she does, she'll quietly claim a spot in your heart.With patience, consistency, and gentle reassurance, these two will happily add you to their "friend club." They're likely to become big snuggle bugs, the kind who settle in beside you and make every quiet moment feel a little sweeter.Despite their age, both dogs are still quite active, enjoy exploring, and have healthy appetites. They're the perfect blend of mellow companionship and cheerful energy.Because they are truly inseparable, Nicky and Sandy must be adopted together. They've spent their lives side by side, and their bond is part of what makes them so special.Sandy and Nicky are currently foster-to-adopt. Patches is looking for a calm home to spend his retirement. He is not a fan of children or other animals in his space and would prefer to have all eyes on him.He is low energy but loves walks and could use routine exercise to shed off a couple extra pounds weighing him down.We have had Patches vetted and have done extensive dental work with him, getting him back to tip top shape! He has had bloodwork done, which also shows the strain of the extra weight he is carrying but is otherwise healthy.He is on a vet prescribed hypoallergenic diet that will need to be continued in his new home.Patches has anxiety and does not like to be left alone.
