Story
Hello!! My name is Bruin.  Here is some information about me: Breed: Shih Tzu Age: 2 years Gender: Male Weight: 10 lbs Height: tbd Highlights: tbd Hi there—my name is BruinI’m a 2-year-old, 10.2-pound black & white Shih Tzu, and this is the start of my next chapter. Not long ago, I was found wandering as a stray in California. Someone kind made sure I was safe and brought me to help, but sadly, no one came to claim me. That part was confusing, but I’m choosing to believe it just means something better was waiting around the corner—maybe you. Right now, I’m getting my bearings. I was kenneled with other dogs, and I handled that just fine, but I’m still decompressing and learning what it feels like to be part of a loving home again. I’ve just arrived with my foster family, so there’s more to come about my personality once I settle in and show my true self. What I can tell you is that Shih Tzus like me are known for being: Affectionate and people-oriented (we love our humans—like, a lot) Gentle and friendly, often great companions Compact cuddle pros—perfect size for laps, couches, and cozy naps Adaptable, happy in apartments or houses as long as we’re loved I’m still figuring things out, but I’m hopeful, curious, and ready to blossom. With a little patience and a lot of love, I know I’ll be someone’s loyal sidekick, Netflix buddy, and daily reminder that good things really do come in small, fluffy packages. Maybe that someone is you. Energy Level:  tbd I get along with: Dogs: Yes (proof to come) Cats: Unknown Kids: Unknown Fears/Prey Drive:  tbd Training:  tbd Leash Skills: No,  working on making it a positive experience.  Tremendous progress made.  House trained: tbd. Please assist training me where to go in my new home. Health Notes:  I am healthy, neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. My adoption fee is $850 CAD plus taxes.  This includes my transport to Canada. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if the dog is shown to be good with children we will approve homes with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.  While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be charged the passenger fee in addition to this. [MID EAST DOGS] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##2632390##

Story
Hi beautiful people! I've been waiting for you! My name is Pudding, and here is a little bit about me:Breed: Shih Tzu-TerrierAge: 1 yearGender: MaleWeight: 6 kgHeight: TBDCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlights: Social, Gentle, Affectionate, Easy-going I was found in the yard of an empty villa, far outside the city. The house was silent, the gates were closed, and no one came back for me. I waited there for a long time, not knowing where the people had gone or why I was left behind. There wasn’t much food, and at night it was cold. I learned to be quiet and patient, hoping that one day someone would notice me. Even then, I never stopped believing that kindness still existed. When the rescuers finally came, I stepped forward gently. I wasn’t angry or afraid — I was ready. Ready to leave the empty yard behind and start again. Now I’m safe. I have food, warmth, and people who care. I’m learning what it feels like to be loved, and I’m doing my best to trust again. All I’m waiting for now is a forever home — a place where I’ll never be left alone, and where my story truly begins. Would that be with you? Story
Meet Tobby 🐾 Tobby is a sweet, soulful senior gentleman who is ready to find his forever home and spend his golden years wrapped in love. This 12-year-old Shih Tzu/Pomeranian mix is the kind of dog who greets you at the door with a wagging tail and follows you from room to room just to be close. Tobby is excellent with other dogs and truly enjoys their company. He walks beautifully on leash and enjoys getting out for walks; however, Tobby is currently a bit overweight, so his walks should be kept shorter and paced appropriately to ensure he's comfortable and not overdoing it. At home, Tobby is a low-key guy who prefers couch snuggles, belly rubs, and relaxing beside his person. He is fully house trained, very well-mannered, and settles easily into a routine. He doesn't bark, doesn't jump on guests, and greets visitors calmly at the door. Tobby is a loyal shadow who loves being near his human, whether that's napping by your chair, following you from room to room, riding along in the car, or curling up beside you at bedtime. Tobby is a bit of a foodie and always hopeful for a snack (soft treats only, please as he just had a dental), and absolutely melts for ear scratches and belly rubs. He would thrive in a calm, loving home where he can enjoy gentle activity, companionship, and lots of affection. If you're looking for a devoted senior companion to share quiet moments and unconditional love, Tobby may be your perfect match. 💛
