She is the biggest of the 4. A few things we have learned and researched (thanks to our foster). Shih tzus carry a gene for wire hair. It's recessive and bred out of the breed and its unusual to have a phenotypically wire shih tzu ("Prapso" Shih Tzu, a natural short-haired variant, which is distinct from the standard long-haired coat). ** Our Puppy Adoption Policy & Senior Adopters** We absolutely adopt to seniors and value them deeply in our rescue community.In fact, we encourage adopters age 70 and older to consider adult dogs (5+ years) — they often form the most beautiful, well-matched partnerships and truly thrive together. Why not puppies? Puppies require many years of intensive care, including: Daily training and socializationSignificant physical activityOngoing veterinary careLong-term contingency planning for the next 15+ years Because of these lifetime needs, we place puppies only in homes where long-term stability and planning can be confidently met. For this reason, we do not place puppies with adopters over the age of 70. This policy exists solely to protect the lifelong welfare and stability of the dog — never to diminish the value or capability of senior adopters. Disclaimer:Adoption decisions are made on a case-by-case basis and reflect the rescue’s mission to act in the best interest of each animal. Being the smallest of the 4, she loves to observe and watch what her sisters are up to before jumping in. At just 16lbs, he was absolutely terrified and let everyone know to keep away.  We just knew we had to have him the second we saw his picture!  Chewy can be selective about who he likes but once he trusts you you are his for life! He  seems to particularly be drawn to our younger children.  He has gotten along with everyone in the house- men and women.  He is tolerant of other dogs as long as they are respectful. We have noticed he does NOT like sharing his food and will need to be fed separately. He doesnt seem to be a huge fan of his crate but will go in it for food. He does love to play with toys, Sleep in beds and on furniture, go on walks, run full speed around the yard and will sit for treats.  To move Forward with a meet and greet please Fill out an application. ##2612071##
