Story
Meet Ladd! This dapper bunny soft gentleman is looking for his forever couch buddy. Ladd had a rough start that makes him pretty nervous getting to know new people. But he can be bought with snacks (he loves a Cheeto) and likes to snuggle close once he gets to know you a little bit. With a bit of patience and a little guidance for him and his new family he will make an excellent addition to almost any home. He is mostly potty trained but like a lot of little guys a bellyband in the house isn’t a bad idea. He does ok on a leash but he loves a fenced backyard to explore. He’s a great car rider, we just turn on the seat heater, buckle his seatbelt and he takes a snooze as copilot. Ladd is also crate trained. He eats his meals in the crate and sleeps in it at night in his foster home. He wouldn’t mind being your nap companion on the bed though! He is fantastic with other dogs and can be cat tested upon request. Probably best with older children who understand not to grab and chase since he is a nervous guy. Apply today while this 1 of 1 supply lasts!

Shih tzus carry a gene for wire hair. It's recessive and bred out of the breed and its unusual to have a phenotypically wire shih tzu ("Prapso" Shih Tzu, a natural short-haired variant, which is distinct from the standard long-haired coat). Being the smallest of the 4, she loves to observe and watch what her sisters are up to before jumping in. She is cautious at first but loves cuddles more than anything once she gets to know you. ** Our Puppy Adoption Policy & Senior Adopters** We absolutely adopt to seniors and value them deeply in our rescue community. In fact, we encourage adopters age 70 and older to consider adult dogs (5+ years) — they often form the most beautiful, well-matched partnerships and truly thrive together. Why not puppies? Puppies require many years of intensive care, including: Daily training and socializationSignificant physical activityOngoing veterinary careLong-term contingency planning for the next 15+ years Because of these lifetime needs, we place puppies only in homes where long-term stability and planning can be confidently met. For this reason, we do not place puppies with adopters over the age of 70. This policy exists solely to protect the lifelong welfare and stability of the dog — never to diminish the value or capability of senior adopters. Disclaimer:Adoption decisions are made on a case-by-case basis and reflect the rescue’s mission to act in the best interest of each animal. Policies are not intended to be discriminatory and are applied solely to ensure lifelong placement and welfare of the dog. We do not allow electric fences/halo collars, runners/tethers or doggy doors ##2619826##
