Gracie spent 5 years in a puppymill before coming to us. She wants so badly to trust, her little tail will wag, but she is terrified because she was not treated very kindly in the mill. She keeps her pen clean and I carry her outside to do her business and carry her back in. We tried giving her the run of the house but she spent all her time hiding under the couch. We moved her into a pen where we can bend down and pet her and she can get used to human touch means love, not hurt. Gracie is so sweet with the softest fur and cute pushed in nose. We love this girl and want the best for her. A loving, quiet, patient home where she can learn the joys of being loved. Submit application to meet dog if interested - yes an application is required******** Meet Fabio! This handsome Shih Tzu mix is around 3.5 years old and weighs about 16 pounds. Fabio is such a happy-go-lucky guy that loves to play and snuggle with his humans. He seems to definitely be what one would consider a "velcro" dog and loves attention! He does great on his leash walks, and is house broken. Treats are such a great motivation for this very good boy. What we think at this point for Fabio is that he will do best in a home where he can be the center of attention as the only dog. We are not sure how he interacts with dogs, children, or cats. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally we require physically fenced yard for dog/pup to play in safely. Exceptions are sometimes made to this requirement but is up to the foster and more often done for the small breed dogs. All our dogs have been treated with de-wormer; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 months or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchipped; and examined by veterinarian plus given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed at time of adoption. Dogs will be spayed/neutered thru us prior to finalizing any adoption. We provide information on dogs age and breed based on what we are told by person surrendering dog or vet's best guess. While we try our best we cannot guarantee that this information is 100% accurate and can often be best guess in case of our lovable mutts. Oreo Pie got his name because he’s truly sweet as pie. Before being rescued, this little guy was abandoned in a backyard, tied to a tree, and survived thanks to kind neighbors who fed him for a month. When his foster mama saved him, he was severely matted and had to be shaved down to the skin. Since then, he’s learned what it feels like to be safe, loved, and comfortable—and now he happily snores the day away in his doggie bed. Oreo Pie hasn’t met a person he doesn’t adore and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He’s potty trained, crate trained, and an easy-going, laid-back little man who LOVES food. If he’s hungry (or thinks you’re moving too slow), he’ll let you know—and may even bring you his food bowl as a reminder! Oreo Pie will require regular, lifelong grooming to keep him comfortable and mat-free, but he’s absolutely worth it. This sweet boy is ready for a forever family to spoil him the way he deserves. Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area)
