Story
Zander is a 9 week old puppy. Best guess on his breed is a Shih Tzu / Maltese mix. He was born in the rescue after his mom was found as a stray heavily pregnant. Best guess on his adult weight is around 15 lbs. He currently weighs 4 lbs. Zander is playful, cuddly, happy, snuggly and just in general a fun loving puppy. He likes to give doggy kisses. He likes playing with toys. His favorite game is playing tug of war with his canine buddies. He’s at that important learning stage. He’ll need continued training in his new home. Zander was the last sibling born and he literally came out kicking. He is the pretty sibling. He’s got all the looks and well let’s just say he’s not the smartest but he learns and figures things out. He’s a fairly gentle guy with a very sweet loving disposition. He would love nothing more than a lap to snuggle in. He’s not pushy, he’s respectful & loves a good belly rub. He really likes treats. He’s fond of baby talk. He is outgoing when meeting new people. He’s had zero experience in public places & once he gets all his vaccinations he’ll need that socialization experience. He is adventurous. In the evening time when he’s all tuckered out he loves to snuggle close to you or in your lap. He’s happy to share the space with others. He needs another small playful dog in the home. A secure fenced yard backyard is required. Zander is just a baby he is working on his crate & potty training. He has only been outside the home for vet appointments. He will need continued crate & potty training and started on leash training. He is at the age where socialization is very important. Zander is neutered, current on age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250. To adopt Zander, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application to apply.

Link is a 9 week old puppy. Best guess on his breed is a Shih Tzu / Maltese mix. He was born in the rescue after his mom was found as a stray heavily pregnant. Best guess on his adult weight is around 15 lbs. He currently weighs 5 lbs. Link is playful, cuddly, happy, snuggly and just in general a fun loving puppy. He will give doggy kisses but he doesn’t get carried away like some of his siblings. He likes playing with toys. His favorite game is playing tug of war with his canine buddies. He’s at that important learning stage. He’ll need continued training in his new home. Link is the dog you need that you didn’t know you needed. He has that sweet subtle disposition about himself. He’s not pushy, he’s respectful, likes sitting next to you, getting belly rubs and just in general wants to please you. He’s a great little man in the makings with a loving beginning. Yes Link is the chunk in the litter of 5. Bandit his brother may be taller but he’s got nothing on this butter ball. As he gets older you’ll want to make sure to keep his weight in check (speaking from personal experience of an owner of an adopted puppy butter ball). For now let him eat until he’s content. He really likes treats. He’s fond of baby talk. He is a little less enthusiastic to seek out new people that he meets than his siblings. He’s had zero experience in public places & once he gets all his vaccinations he’ll need that important socialization experience. He is adventurous. In the evening time when he’s all tuckered out he loves to snuggle close to you but he doesn’t necessarily feel compelled to sit in your lap. He needs another small playful dog in the home. A secure fenced yard backyard is required. Link is just a baby he is working on his crate & potty training. He has only been outside the home for vet appointments. He will need continued crate & potty training and started on leash training. He is at the age where socialization is very important. Link is neutered, current on age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250. To adopt Link, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application to apply.

Bandit is a 9 week old puppy. Best guess on his breed is a Shih Tzu / Maltese mix. He was born in the rescue after his mom was found as a stray heavily pregnant. Best guess on his adult weight is around 8 lbs. He currently weighs 3 lbs. Bandit is playful, cuddly, happy, snuggly and just in general a fun loving puppy. He loves to give doggy kisses. He likes playing with toys. His favorite game is playing tug of war with his canine buddies. He’s still at that learning stage and he’s really into shoes & shoe laces. He’ll need continued training in his new home. Bandit may be small in stature but he doesn’t let his bigger siblings push him around. He has a little feisty spirit about himself. He’s extremely loving to his people. He still has those razor sharp puppy teeth and he’s still learning your feet and fingers are not his chew toy. He really likes treats. He’s outgoing when he meets new people. He’s had zero experience in public places & once he gets all his vaccinations he’ll need that socialization experience. In the evening time when he’s all tuckered out he’ll put himself to bed preferably in your lap. He bonds very quickly with his person. He needs another small playful dog in the home. Due to his small size no kids under 8 unless the children in the home have already been living with small dogs and know how to be respectful of them. A secure fenced yard backyard is required. Bandit is just a baby he is working on his crate & potty training. He has only been outside the home for vet appointments. He will need continued crate & potty training and started on leash training. He is at the age where socialization is very important. Bandit is neutered, current on age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250. Story
Meet Chanel Number 5! Chanel isn't ACTUALLY a spokesman for the perfume brand. She was named when she was first pulled from the shelter. After living on the streets, she was a VERY smelly, matted, sickly mess. Since arriving at her foster home, she has had several baths, nail trims, grooming sessions, antibiotics, a dental procedure and a skin surgery to treat a nasty skin infection, and she smells MUCH better now. Chanel was clearly a beloved pet in living a home once upon a time. She looks for the softest dog beds, she knows how to use stairs, she TRIES to go outside when she needs to go (even if she doesn't always find her way) and actively wants to know where her humans are. We simply don't know how she ended up wandering the streets alone. She IS a senior dog - mostly blind, mostly deaf and slow walking. She is spayed, up to date on shots and heartworm free. The only remaining health issue is her feet - at some point in her journey as a stray, the pads on her back feet tore off. So she wears very cute infant socks to protect them while they heal. She won't need them forever, but she doesn't have as much pain wearing them while they heal. Chanel spends her day alternating between enjoying her long naps and wandering between napping spots. She's slowly learning her way around the house and even the yard. Sometimes, when it's time to go out, we carry her just to save time, but she does try to go out for bathroom duties. When she decides it's time for dinner, and she cannot find her humans, she will bark for them. When she finds them, she wags her tail happily and follows them as well as she can. She definitely feels safe when the humans are home Chanel has had a rough time that she did not deserve - who dumps an elderly house pet? She definitely deserves a kind, safe home with a dog bed for her twilight years. If you can be that home for her, please fill out an application. Her adoption fee is waived with approved application https://form.jotform.com/200005720739042
