Story
Auggie is a serious yet fun guy who may have a small body but a bigger dog's personality. He loves people but he does not love being treated like a doll or a small child. He enjoys cuddling up but needs his space and autonomy respected like any other individual. Auggie makes a great friend and partner and bonds quickly to his family. He is easy to live with and behaves well when going places with you. He loves going for hikes and needs more stimulating activities than being home all the time. Auggie is fine with dogs big and small except that he gets a grumpy about his space when he is on the couch or bed and bouncy young dogs get up there too. This has led to his nickname Emperor Augustus. He is probably fine with cats as he doesn't show a lot of prey drive. He is good on leash and likes car rides. He is housetrained. He is fine home alone. Auggie is about 2 1/2 years old. He currently weighs 13-15 lbs. He is probably a Yorkshire terrier and shih tzu mix and possibly more. Meet Merry! Merry is a charming terrier mix rescue with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. Fostered in a quiet home in New Braunfels, TX, Merry is looking for a forever family within Texas who will appreciate her sweet nature and give her the stable, calm environment where she truly shines. Merry is fully potty trained and does wonderfully in the home. She does not enjoy being crated, but the good news is she can be trusted uncrated when left alone—she relaxes peacefully without destroying anything. A quiet household suits her best, and she would be just as happy in a cozy apartment as in a house, as long as her surroundings are predictable and calm. Playtime is one of Merry’s favorite things, especially when squeaky toys are involved! She’ll happily show off her fetching skills… just once per session, thank you very much. One of the most endearing things about Merry is her joyful zoomies when her foster mom comes home from work—her excitement and affection are impossible to miss. Merry is good with other dogs and coexists well with them, though she doesn’t interact much and tends to keep to herself. She would do best with calm canine companions who respect her space. Merry can be a bit fearful when getting into a car, but once inside, she tolerates rides well. She does great on a leash and loves exploring her surroundings at her own pace, making daily walks an enjoyable bonding time. Above all, Merry is incredibly loving and devoted.
