June is a female beige/lemon colored chihuahua mix. She is 4-5 years old and she weighs about 19 pounds. June is spayed and vaccinated including rabies. She is heartworm negative and on heartworm preventive. June is ready for adoption. June was surrendered because her owner could no longer care for her. June has been very well cared for since puppyhood and a full record of her vetting will be provided. She is a gentle-natured, easy going lady. June is dog, cat and people friendly. She is very cooperative and smart. June is reportedly easy to live with. She is potty trained, crate trained and walks on a leash. June would make a great companion for an older adult with or without other pets. She would also be able to adapt to a family setting. June can travel or be a home body. She’s a total sweetheart. Applicants willing to travel to Texarkana will also be considered with additional requirements to qualify as approved.

Chance is a male white and tan Chihuahua. Chance is not quite a year old and weighs 11 lbs. Chance is neutered, vaccinated including rabies. He tested heartworm negative and is on monthly preventive. Chance is ready for adoption. Chance was owner surrendered because she thought she was buying a toy breed chihuahua and he exceeded what she wanted in size. Chance is a super friendly and loving boy. He does very well following a routine. Chance needs time to acclimate to new routines and is nervous at first, but once you help him through the first week or so he is really a pretty easy boy to love and live with. Chance kennels well and is potty trained. He loves other dogs but he’s a puppy so he wants to play play play. Chance ia ready to learn all the things and give all the kisses Adoption fee is $200. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.All of our adoptable animals are up to date on routine vaccinations, microchipped and spayed or neutered.  If the animal is too young a certificate for the spay/neuter is included in the adoption fee.  Please CLICK HERE to complete our online adoption application. Many of our animals can be seen at our adoption center located at 5820 Richmond Rd, Texarkana, TX on Saturdays between 10 am - 3 pm.  To make arrangements to meet any of our animals, please call us at 1-877-525-4825, option 2.   Texarkana Animal League is a 501c3 non profit and all donations are tax deductible.  Killer is a senior chi/terrier mix whose owner passed away recently and killer found himself at the Hope Animal Shelter and was very scared and in danger of being euthanized so we rescued him. He is super sweet and gets along with other dogs and cats. Hès housebroken and a love bug lap baby! He is looking for his furever home and would do best in a calm household with maybe some senior parents :)    Killer was adopted last year (5/24/25) by a lovely senior couple who loved him and gave him the best home, but his mom passed away recently, and his dad is going into the nursing home after breaking his hip so sadly Killer had to come back to us to find a new permanent home. He is the sweetest boy and loves to cuddle. He would do better being the only dog as he wants all the attention and doesn't like to share it.
