No drama, no panic… just a calm little cat doing his best.  It was great to flea- free again.   I warm up best with slow approaches and soft voices.  Once I know you’re safe, I’m all gentle eyes and will lean into your hand. People tell me I have an old soul — and I suppose that’s true. Even though I’m still young, I have quite a story to tell. For nearly a year, I survived on my own outside a Shell gas station. The people there were kind and made sure I had food, and I will always be grateful to them. But food wasn’t the only thing I needed. Deep down, I longed for safety, for warmth, for someone to truly love me. I wanted a home. Thankfully, MCAS stepped in to help me, and Sheltering Hands showed me what real comfort feels like — soft blankets, full bowls, gentle voices, and caring hands. For the first time in my life, I understood what it means to belong. I didn’t have to watch the world from a parking lot anymore. I could finally rest. I am a very food-motivated girl and I never take a good meal for granted. Treats are a treasure to me. But even more than food, I love people. I love being held, petted, and doted on. I lean in close when you talk to me. I soak up reassurance. Tell me I’m beautiful and that I’m a good girl, and I will give you the softest look and the gentlest purr. Baby B is a sweet boy about four months old.  He is still under medical care.  Once released , he can be moved to an approved foster to adopt home.  He is good with other cats and dogs. ##2678316##

Sam I Am tested negative/negative, today, at his vet appointment. We took him in from an At-risk Risk situation and had him fully vetted at Sheltering Hands, Inc. Clinic. He was neutered, vaccinated, chipped, dewormed, blood tested and flea prevention. We had two cats sterilized this morning. We had TWELVE done on Monday and have 3 cats going on Friday. This handsome guy could use a foster home but what he REALLY needs is a FOREVER home. He does come from a known history through the finders. They've been caring for him a few weeks but they are unable to adopt him. He will require some time to decompress , but it won't take him long. Located in Ocala FL. ##2683434##
