Story
Wally was found living at Walmart. Her rescuer & foster mom says she was very slow to getting adjusted to living in a house. She gets spooked really easily, but she has come a long way and is excepting of our family dogs. She was pregnant when she was rescued. She was a really good mom to her three babies. She is getting used to being held and loved on & is a lover once she trusts her human. A layed back household would be best. No young children, because she has a tendency to swat when she gets scared. Her ideal new family has patience to allow her to adjust to her new life. This girl is a rockstar, and she deserves the best! Adoption Application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/POMH-A-2909

Story
If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please visit our website, for details about our fees and process, and to complete our Adoption Application.   ARPO limits adoptions to within 50 miles of Indianapolis.  We do not have a shelter; all pets are in volunteer foster homes.  Jessica Pearson is the momma to our Suits group of kittens!  They had a rough start in life as they were taking shelter in a car.  Jessica came to us with a broken canine tooth which the vet said was likely from trying to forage for food.  The broken tooth was removed when she had her spay surgery.  But, all of that is behind her now and she is living the good life inside!  Jessica can be a little shy at first, but once she smells you, she loves to rub up against you for pets!  She really is a super mellow cat, is happy to just lay in a bed next to you.  Jessica has a super soft meow that she lets out when she is excited about eating her wet food.  She also wins a super mom award for taking in an orphaned kitten and caring for it like her own.  Jessica has been around a dog and other adult cats in her home for short periods of time.  She was non-reactive, but we always recommend slow introductions to existing pets.  Jessica is up to date on her vaccines, has been spayed, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.  Her estimated birthday is 4-18-22.If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please complete the online Adoption Application.  If you would like to donate to this pet's care, please click here. Story
Meet Waluigi! 5 yrs old hoarding rescue has been at the sanctuary since he was 3 months old. All 37 other cats from the same rescue have been adopted, sadly Waluigi is still here. Shy little guy but once he’s comfortable he is the best at cuddles and snuggles. He just needs time! You will barely hear or know he is around. A home with other pets is preferred. Still waiting for his happy forever Loves cats and dogs too Waluigi is fully vetted spayed and up to date on all vaccines. Updated: 2/1/2023 www.animalhousesanctuary.org We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues that arise, need to be addressed and/or rewarded. Understanding that continued training is a lifetime commitment, is very important. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. Meet & Greets are a required before proceeding with an adoption. We DO NOT ship any of our pets.

Story
Octavia Jo was adopted from a shelter on 8/22/2022. She is a seal pt./grey Siamese mix. She is a little over 2 years old. She is a chunky girl around 14lbs. She is super sweet. She is a couch potato. She loves to be pet. (Behind the ear and under her chin are her favorites) and she will purrr like crazy. She can be pretty talkative especially when she is hungry. She loves treats. She loves to be brushed. She enjoys teaser toys. She likes cardboard cat houses to lay in. I am rehoming her because of litter box issues since moving to a new apartment. I believe these stem from territorial issues over the litter boxes. We have 3 other cats living in our home and one of them is more dominant and she doesn’t respond well to that. She would be best in a home with no dogs and possibly another calm cat. She doesn’t like to play rough with other cats but she loves to cuddle them.
