Hi… I am Groot. 🌿🐾Yes, that’s really my name — Groot, just like the lovable character from Guardians of the Galaxy. And if you know Groot, then you know that even though he only says a few words, he has a big heart and a gentle soul… just like me. I am Groot, a stunning Flame Point Siamese boy, about 2 years old, weighing in at a whopping 10 pounds. My coat is mostly soft cream with bright orange highlights on my ears and tail, and my breathtaking blue eyes tend to stop people in their tracks. I’m what you might call a gentle giant — big, handsome, and full of love.😸 Before coming to the shelter, it’s believed I was once a house kitty who either got lost or was sadly left to fend for myself. Thankfully, those days are behind me now. These days my life motto is simple: “I am Groot… and I love attention.” 💙I’m a big softy who enjoys soaking up all the pets and affection you’re willing to give. I also happen to be a huge fan of treats, so if you have a snack in your hand, don’t be surprised if you hear a very enthusiastic little voice asking for a bite. I’m quite the talkative fellow, and I’ve been told I have the cutest little head tilt when I’m listening to you. I’m a curious boy who likes to know what’s going on around me. I get along great with other cats, and I’ve had both indoor and outdoor experience. That said, I’ve definitely discovered that I prefer the finer things in life — air conditioning, comfy blankets, cozy homes, and of course… the free food. Honestly, who wouldn’t? Even though I enjoy my creature comforts, I still have a little hunter inside me. I’m a certified good mouser and always on the lookout for bugs or other tiny intruding pests. 🐭🐞 When it’s playtime, I love to run and chase toys, especially wire feather toys and puffballs. I can get pretty goofy when I’m having fun.
